Name your favorite Warcraft Villain!

H. P. Lovecraft

Illidan, Azshara, Xavior, Umbric, N’zoth, Deathwing, Genn, Putress.

Hmm me thinks I am missing one but oh well…

Was very surprised he didn’t make a comeback in the Maldraxxus zone tbh.

Y’shaarj, or more specifically in this case the Sha. MoP was such a cool expac once you can get people to get over the cutesy pandaren.

Has to be Illidan.

I loved reading War of the Ancients, watching him struggle with his desire for power yet striving at the same time to be ‘one of the good guys’ for those he loves.

His broken heart over Tyrande, Illidan’s story is very tragic in that way. The book really does a good job showcasing the events leading to his downward spiral.

Koramar and Zoggosh.

Those two from Iron Docks are still my favourites and really deserve a encore performance

Zoggosh: Sir, half of our army has been taken out! Don’t you think we should–

Koramar: That was an insignificant loss. Let them exhaust themselves, preying against our weak – against those who are unworthy of serving in Blackhand’s army! Blood and honor, Zoggosh. That is all that orcs understand.

Zoggosh: Ahhh. Good thinking, sir.

Koramar: That is what I do, Zoggosh. I think good.

I kinda have to agree. I went from hating her to loving her. She’s really compelling.

The old gods, yogg in particular. They so spooky.

Garrosh, because he did nothing wrong.

Dreadmoon.

Deathwing. I think they did him dirty though. He was a lot more cunning in previous iterations.

Gonna go ahead and 2nd your opinion. I love Azshara because she is not only rich with history spanning from Warcraft 1 - now, but she’s just such a fun villain. She wasn’t cursed into evil, or given some ridiculous artifact that empowers her. She’s a villain who is self made, both in her own loveable arrogance and masterful skill.

She’s got an amazing design both in her first form and Naga form. She’s got an amazing voice actor. Amazing aesthetic and lore. Plus she’s been developed imho to be this sort of anti hero type of character at this point, while still primarily villain due to wanting to help us with N’zoth. Just an amazing character all around.

Ion… has it cost us?

Arthas, followed closely by Garrosh. Both were developed fantastically and had excellent stories and character arcs. Garrosh falls slightly short with a less than satisfying death and Arthas is just that much better because we the players got to experience his fall to darkness through his eyes in WC3, rather than simply watching Garrosh fall to madness and greed. Nonetheless, both are fantastic characters. Some of my other favorites include Azshara, Kel’Thuzad, Illidan, Kil’Jaeden, and Gul’Dan.
