Name at least ONE thing you like about TWW

speaking of, i heard in passing that certain spiders are actually able to hiss when they feel threatened. So I got curious and did a lil research.

I’m not afraid of spiders so it’s all good lol but i do freak out when i see flies or gnats or mosquitos.

Anyway so, I haven’t heard them hissing yet but some of them do make a clicking sound, and it turns out that a lot of the giant spider pets for hunters make a very similar sound.

I thought that was just Blizzard trying to make them spoopy but nah, turns out it’s accurate.

If we can just get moth people that would be fun.

There’s moths that squeak.

Delves! I finish work late so doing some afterhours delves with the few guild friends who are online late weekdays is pretty great!

I am liking this expansion so far.

Hallowfall is a super cool zone. I really like the light/dark day/night swapping it does, as well as the music. The arathi people also look super cool, and unlocking their armor pretty early for transmog is very neat.

Now Im thinking about silk moths and spiders.

Moths have their silk harvested and eventually turned into fabric, but does anyone do that with spider silk?

Like, wearing a silk shirt that was made from spider web

or is it completely different lol

I can play alts now. Came back to WoW for that reason only.

Did a curiosity google and found this

Current research in spider silk involves its potential use as an incredibly strong and versatile material. The interest in spider silk is mainly due to a combination of its mechanical properties and the non-polluting way in which it is made. The production of modern man-made super-fibres such as Kevlar involves petrochemical processing which contributes to pollution. Kevlar is also drawn from concentrated sulphuric acid. In contrast, the production of spider silk is completely environmentally friendly. It is made by spiders at ambient temperature and pressure and is drawn from water. In addition, silk is completely biodegradable. If the production of spider silk ever becomes industrially viable, it could replace Kevlar and be used to make a diverse range of items such as:

  • Bullet-proof clothing
  • Wear-resistant lightweight clothing
  • Ropes, nets, seat belts, parachutes
  • Rust-free panels on motor vehicles or boats
  • Biodegradable bottles
  • Bandages, surgical thread
  • Artificial tendons or ligaments, supports for weak blood vessels.

Buuuuuuuuuuuut spiders aren’t great for farming compared to moths

Hallowfall is the most beautiful zone in the game

Okay that is hard core!

although I think some of the dungeons are going to be a nightmare in m+, i like the throwback feeling of some of them.

-cinderbrew with blackrock vibes
-the priory with scarlet monastery vibes
-city of threads and strathome dead side vibes
-one was giving me some MoP vibes with the insects, but I forget which one that was

i like the darkflame feel all on its own. i like fighting the darkness and I want to farm the trinket just so he can be my pal.

I thought the timing of the comp stomp brawl was reaaly well played. it didn’t take too too long to load up on 558 gear to get into heroics.

Yeah the tricky part really is research into how spiders spin their silk. And they’re not great for farming because they will gladly eat each other if in close proximity to one another

so far, everything has been awesome, only 2 complaints - no customizations…eek… and i miss old style flying. thought id finished the campaign, but apparently not cause still cant use the change feature

Weird I unlocked it just fine

Hallowfall is my favorite, it rival Grizzly Hills it’s that good

i probably just missed something

Lemme check the achievement

Did you get the explorer achievement?

Flying fast with all my mounts is wonderful. I love going zoom.

Also, big beautiful zones. They do look really good.

I’m enjoying Alleria’s redesign and story, love seeing Meerah again, even without Dolly and Dot. Story is fun. Love having NPCs in dungeons so don’t HAVE to find other folks just to do them once for story.

All in all I am very pleased with this expansion.

The only “negative” I’ve had, and it’s not a big deal, is that I also play FFXIV and there you learn that if you do side quests and not JUST the MSQ you will outlevel things fast. So we avoided most side stuff on our mains and hit the end of the story for leveling at level 76. Had to WQ and grind out that last few. Not even a big negative just a “Oh, alright.”
