Name abuse, another desperate plea

I got a great place the OP can go and report names until they are blue in the face, I see they are on Moon Guard so why not just go to Pornshire and have a frenzy reporting all those umm “names”.

I heavily agree that they need to start being more strict on non-RP names, but as other people have said… banning them from ever using the name again could be abused, and would lead to people quitting the game.

Were you breaking the law? Because the jackholes with non-RP names on an RP server are breaking the rules.

“Why can’t I break the rules I agreed to anytime I want!? OPPRESSION!!” -Lejk

That’s pretty on point to be honest.

tbh, that’s kind of hard to do if you take rp seriously. It’s almost angering to see names that don’t belong on an rp server. This is an issue that can be very frustrating and stressful on many players. There are rules and they should be enforced. If someone doesn’t like the rules then there are normal servers they can play on.

This sounds like a personal problem

No, it sounds like a problem that rules aren’t being enforced. If you don’t like the rules then don’t play on an rp server.

I play on RP servers and enjoy RPing. I really don’t mind seeing someone named “Biganalfart” though, I usually laugh. I just don’t get sensitive over things totally out of my control. Enforcing rules like hacking ect. are a much higher priority.

It’s an almost-automated system. Enough flags on one person/guild and the name goes up for review by a GM. They just don’t seem to be reviewing them. I know I do my part and report more than my share of names, many of those names I still see running around even after a number of us report them.

and I’ve heard players from RP servers complain about how unpopulated their WPVP shards are. you aren’t necessarily making the game better for your server by demanding strict enforcement of petty misbehavior.

You aren’t hurting it either by enforcing rules. Why have rules unless they are being enforced?

Muh immersion!!! This legit makes me laugh knowing that something so trivial as someone else’s name bothers people. Grow up and move on. Of all the things to worry about this is what you choose to whine and cry about. Get real.

Some rules are hard to enforce, and that’s because a triage exists. Hackers deserve a much stricter ballgame. It can very much hurt your server if you drive every single person away with a sense of humor.

I’m not sure why you are so hung up on this hacker nonsense, there isn’t much going on lately with that stuff. There are places you can read up on all sorts of fun things.

ok so, nice diversion. how about win-traders? that’s definitely higher on the triage than showing “Biganalfart” the fullest extent of Blizzard’s RP laws  the point is there are other offenses worthy of more enforcement.
