I don’t think this one can define anything other than the cheesiness of the era. It’s terrible, but it’s so 80’s that I love it.

Graduating from High School in 1985, Pet Shop Boys always kind of summed up the 80’s for me.

All of these are great! It is so weird that some of them are still played on the Muzak where I work in 2022; in 1986 they were not playing some Dean Martin song from 1950 on the Muzak where I worked. I’m also pretty sure that in 2059 you won’t be hearing Kanye West, or whatever, on the Muzak at some store. But you still might be hearing some of this stuff from the '80s.

Wow, ABC “Poison Arrow” and Nu Shooz “I Can’t Wait”, I remember those bands and songs. Its kind of weird the ones you don’t really think about but instantly recognize when you hear them. I went to so many parties back then where MTV was always just “on” and they played “Music Videos” constantly.

I saw Pet Shop Boys a few years ago in Miami Beach and it was nice seeing a wide variety of people at the concert. Young to old, it didn’t seem to matter. It’s funny your mentioning of Muzak because you’re right. In the 80’s I was definitely not hearing Dean Martin while walking around the grocery story. The classic station my dad listened to primarily played stuff like the Beach Boys, Dion, The Temptations, etc
 I have an office I go into on a daily basis and they play the 80’s channel on Sirius/XM. Kinda odd being in a professional office and Welcome to the Jungle comes on. lol

Wow - I remember where I was and what I was doing when I first heard this song and thought it was fantastic!

I also remember the moment when I’d heard it so often that I hoped I’d never hear it again. So, you know, thumbs up! :+1: :+1:

The professor in the video was an actual professor at a university. According to VH1’s Pop-Up Video, he regretted being in the video. For years, when students passed by, they yelled out, “Science!”
