BfA. I had such high hopes after all of the improvements they made throughout Legion and they just got spiked into a dumpster fire.
So, guess what I wish they’d done differently is not implemented the changes they made with BfA. BfA with legion gameplay would have been so much better.

CATA. The debate between gamers/arcade players was ended with Blizz siding with arcade players and creating the cater-clysm, creating a never ending decline in subs and gameplay in the name of accessibility, ease and participation trophies.

It’s like Blizzard forgot how to write.
BFA… because well that’s all I got right now.
I wish WOD was better so many possibilities and I loved the characters.
Wod. Garrisons should have been designed in such a way to include all of your toons. Meaning that when you reach Wod content on an alt he finds the garrison waiting for him, and can add to it. They could have increased garrison size to level 5+ to accommodate this. Starting from scratch with each toon was the most boring thing ever. Also, garrisons ruined professions. Especially multiple garrisons, tailoring work orders, and hexweave bags as those things destroyed the container market, and continue to do so today.
Yea WoD no question. Had it worked we’d still have player housing as the Garrisons probably would have gone forward.
Still think it’s mindblowingly stupid they didn’t just move the garrisons to azeroth, I mean the assets are built. How much work would it really take to add some customization options to it every so often?
Just dump the tables, Herb Garden and Mine along with the ships and you’ll be pretty solid as a housing complex. Just bring the panda farm format to it and allow us to grow crops for our cooking and it really doesn’t do anyone any harm at all.

Ok, but the question was “which expansion do you wish was better”.
I was there too. I still wouldn’t interpret that way. He just wanted to take a veiled shot at classic and bc proponents. That’s pretty obvious.
I’d say BfA, but it’s hard because the content that exists is totally fine. It’s the more behind-the-scenes aspects of everything that ruin it.
I wish they would have followed through with WoD instead of gutting so much of the planned content.
I also wish they would have done a decent story for BfA instead of hamfisting a faction conflict into place because they wanted to hit the ‘Faction Pride!!!1!!1!one!1!’ button to buy them more time for the next expansion.
WoD. An epic reintroduction of the past warchiefs only to be sullied by stupid and boring PvE right at the portal. Oh so terrified of the iron horde are we? Lul.
That entire expansion I wish could be retconned. It stands almost alone in exhibiting the worst of retail.
Legion, due to the horrific class design and many added weapon restrictions. I like being able to choose which weapon type my character uses.
BfA class design isn’t much better, although I do truly appreciate un-pruning victory rush from fury (seriously that’s huge for me) and removing the mana sponge increased dmg taken while enraged mechanic (I don’t like being a mana sponge).
Exploding hamster wheel AP grinds are terrible (also an issue in BfA).
Legion content itself was actually pretty good overall.
The expansion known as my soon to be 30s.
I saw the reviews and the features.
I am not impressed

30 ain’t so bad. 40 is like 30 but with an older body and well… every 10 years is another adjustment to some kind of physical limitation.

I mostly liked WoD but by the end I really had Orc fatigue. Two straight expansions with Orcs being central to the storyline was at least one expansion too much.
Edit: It was also disappointing seeing how much they had scrapped before WoD went live, such as the ability to locate your garrison in Talador (there were screenshots floating around). Karabor was a beautiful place and to see it go completely un-utilized was also a big disappointment.
BFA of course! Considering Blizzard had all the experience from every expansion before this one I expected BFA to be great - an accumulation of all the learned information from the past. But nope. Blizzard has a nasty habit of trying to reinvent the wheel with every expansion and take very few things forward that worked. Many mistakes were made in BFA. We can now only hope that Blizzard takes some of their knowledge into the next expansion instead of trying to reinvent the wheel and messing it up again. Hell, they even have Classic as a source of study when it comes to successful MMORPG systems and mechanics.
Legion. Classes were garbage. One of the most important aspects of the game. That has continued into BfA, sadly.

The only instance I know that you had to do for Legion Pathfinder was Emerald Nightmare, and that was to kill Xavius for a quest in Suramar. You could do that on lfr very quickly as Xavius had his own wing on LFR.
That was mainly due to Gorgrond’s story getting changed. Alpha Gorgrond had the Iron Horde as an actual threat.
