Again, the people who play the game and do things aren’t the ones complaining. The chronic complainers are the people who aren’t playing the game. The people who complain there’s “nothing to do”… after having done nothing.
And maybe streamers are the problem, here. Maybe the people who don’t do anything actually think to themselves, “Well, I watched somebody else do this on twitch, so if I do it myself then it’s old content.”
Which is crazy. And why I don’t care when streamers quit. Good. Maybe people will actually play the game for themselves instead. Let ALL the streamers quit, I say.
I hate that wow is the best game or at least at its peak it was better than FFXIV or New World or any other MMO ever can be.
Warcraft has Grom, Thrall, Illidan, Velen, Arthas, Khadgar and all the different kingdoms and lore and zones! I wish Square Enix took over the game. Boy oh boy that would be cool to see!
Also just because people play other games doesn’t mean they’re not playing WoW as well. If I was a streamer (lord forbid) and people tuned in last weekend, I would have been playing The Long Dark instead, since the latest Wintermute episode came out last week.
But then last night I was back working on Mythic Sylvanas progression as normal. And will be again tonight, and tomorrow night.
Thats like what the realistic average person does. They take a break if they have nothing currently to do and come back when there is.
The average doom sayer just comes to the forums to make it sound like its the end of the world. Because we all know a game should entertain 24/7/365.
Honestly, the best way to play is to skip every other expansion. You typically lose nothing of significance. And then you just go back and complete quests and such on off time. Or just skip launch to the .2 patch. There is always catch-ups.
Why are people acting surprised by this? These people rely on people watching their videos to survive and if there is nothing going on in the game for them to talk about, there isn’t much to say.
Even in the last T&E video, he mentions that even after skipping a week for releasing a video that they barely had anything to talk about.
There is nothing going on in WoW and there won’t be for a while. We all know that. There isn’t much that can be done about it at the moment either. It takes time to create content and considering they were already way behind schedule before all the drama unfolded, in addition to that we probable aren’t seeing 9.2 until springtime next year.
So it makes sense these people are branching out to other games. They need stuff to talk about. New World is new, FF has an expansion dropping soon. Lots of stuff to talk about with those game. These people will be back to WoW when wow gets back to releasing content on a regular basis again.
I’d critique this statement a little bit. There’s plenty going on in WoW. The youtuber’s problem is that there isn’t anything in WoW that they haven’t already talked to death.
That’s a pretty bold assumption. Would you really say that there are no valid complaints on the way content has been handled this expac compared to the previous ones?
People really don’t seem to understand that content creators are a good measure of the game’s health. People spending their free time promoting something they genuinely love and making content for it attracts people to your game. If they’re all leaving, its indicative of a larger problem and its bad PR for WoW.
Stop applauding content creators leaving because you don’t like them. If you support this game as much as you say you do, then you’d see why this isn’t something to be cheering for.
Hmm so there’s an opening for a cute Italian WoW streamer?
Feel free to watch, I’d primarily stream me scanning the Auction House and cackling about random things. I guess I have to learn how to twirl my hair and giggle instead of cackle.
Hazel was only streaming FFXIV once a week and even then she hasn’t streamed it in about a month. She still streams mostly WoW and lately some Hearthstone.
