Join the Court of Eternity as we celebrate the beauty, unity, and diversity of elven culture at our biannual Grand Iris Gala! This enchanting evening is a rare opportunity to step away from the turmoil of Azeroth and immerse yourself in the rich traditions and shared heritage of elvenkind.
While our Winter Gala focuses on the majestic and noble grandeur of elven sophistication, our Summer Gala focuses on the whimsical and ethereal; the effervescent magic of nature itself!
Why the Iris?
The iris was chosen as the symbol of the Court of Eternity because it symbolizes faith, hope, wisdom, truth, nobility, honor and positive change. As they also represent a bridge between the heavens and Azeroth, we see them as also representing a bridge that crosses faction divides.
The Code of Conduct
- Respect all attendees regardless of race, faction, or allegiance. No verbal or physical altercations will be tolerated.
- Formal attire is required, whimsy is encouraged. Ceremonial armor is permitted.
- This is a weapons-free event, including ceremonial weapons or decorative pieces. All weapons must be checked with Security. Those who refuse will not be permitted entry to the event.
- Be respectful of performers and storytellers. Do not talk over them or otherwise disrupt or interrupt their work.
Seeking Helpers!
Want to be a part of a magical night? We’re looking for the following:
Vendors: Have goods or services you’d like to share with the public? Now’s your chance! Spots are highly limited, and on a first-come, first-serve basis.
Security: Able to ensure the IC rules of the Gala are being followed, including the no-weapons policy.
Performers: Whether you’re a singer, dancer, or something else entirely, we’d love to see what you can do!
Storytellers: Instead of the Language of Flowers social mixer, the Summer Iris Gala features the Root Circle, a small area tucked away from the Dance Floor where individuals are encouraged to share tales of elven history, fables, fairytales, or stories of their own adventures!
Note: Musical performances and stories need to be pre-approved by Altherei or Esdai to ensure they fit the mood and ambience of the event.
