There’s no content outside of a new expansion that I’d pay extra for in wow. Or any game really.
Mythics been around for how many years at this point? 4?

Titan Residum returns is based on the gear you are turning in, and the gear you would be purchasing with an upgrade. Its designed to help you get to the next tier.
If a person complains they aren’t getting enough TR returned from scrapping, it most likely means they are wanting to skip tiers.

It varies cause like you said, random acquisition. Different folks are going to have different… maths?
there is another option we are all missing here. its recent but just do a 5 mask Horrific vision. GG skip all the way to the top.

This seems like the ideal solution to people who are “good at their class” but who can’t get into m+ groups because of the evil IO.

^ literally this. There has never been more options for gear path progression. They need to tune it a little better but they’re clearly making strides. You can legitimately fully gear up via visions if you’re a solo player over enough time.

I have noticed my rogue can jump into m+ group quicker than my hunter can. I gave up even bothering on my hunter as it usually takes a half hour of rejects to get into anything. Guess the rogue is more popular for being able to skip some content.

Closet is the most important spell in a pug raid.
It’s worth bringing a 400 warlock to a heroic raid pug if you have nothing else.
Maybe all these oppressed people can group with each other?
Yeah I agree.
I honestly didn’t put much stake into m+ this expansion because of a lot of reasons but it never was because I was getting denied into groups or anything because I was a warlock.
I have always been a member of the “make your own group” or “run with friends” club. It is generally a better experience anyways.

But Locks has special treatment on Raids especially with the PuGs becoz of their TiVo or Closet.

Here’s the thing.
Blizz doesn’t think you need 460 gear to complete 445 content.
If you want to wear 460 gear you gotta do 460 content.
Edit: Not sure how Edgy got quoted there but oh well.
But with 460 gear, you could also do 465/470 content. It’s just you need to step up your game.

There is no “but”. You just explained “progression” in a nutshell.
Of course you can do higher lvl content with higher lvl gear, that is not being contented here.
If you want the top lvl gear you should be doing top level content, I say this as a casual potato that will likely not surpass 460 this xpac.
… you know, if ANY content in a game becomes “trivial” (especially during a current expansion)… that’s what I’d call BAD game design.
Now, it probably makes more sense if we attach some numbers to this.
Let’s take something out of the first post:
They’ve been received zero Titan Residium for the past month.
ZERO.
They have gotten literally nothing to advance themselves.
They’re not looking to skip a tier or anything like that, they literally can’t advance at all.
The system comes across as more than a little broken when they can’t even use the catch-up mechanic.
And the only excuse you can come up with is because the content is “trivial”?
