Mythic+ without multi-shot

Hi all,

was in a +16 Nokhud and had a BM hunter in a group that didn’t spec into multi-shot. This person had great dps (both ST and aoe), and I was wondering how that’s possible without multi-shot. Also, is that something viable that other BM hunters use?

I dont use multi-shot, volley, or salvo as an Mm. Wailing and Shuriken and Aimed(talented) and SS make up my aoe, which is obviously lower but still alright, and i make up for it with massive cleave and ST, i just find it more fun.

I’m kinda here to see what other people come up with as well being a BM hunter myself,but I can think of maybe two things that helps:

Having pets stomp when Barb shot goes out does some AOE and Death Chakram also does a bit of AOE. I almost always have Multishot running unless I screwed up and didnt pick my right build before the start

Spread cleaving barbed would do some AOE.

I wonder what Primordial Stones that BM hunter was using in the Onyx ring because Storm Infused Stone + Prophetic Twilight Stone + Desirous Blood Stone are good for both ST and AOE

Of his bm builds, 2 of his loadouts have multi and 1 doesn’t. The one that doesn’t is the dire pack st build. Tbh they prob was running that just to be a straight st funnel and prob testing his boss damage since we got nerfed this week.

It will work fine if you got a group that can just go ham on aoe he/she can just straight funnel to priority targets. But being a NoK all the packs are 4-8ish mobs so beast cleave would be much more efficient.

So tbh they either was testing or they forgot they was in raid loadout at start and didn’t swap. Or did it cuz the rest of the groups st would be lower. Or just for the lolz ya know.

Honestly if you are running high keys as a BM hunter or MM and you dont run multi shot your gibbing yourself and your teammates. 20+ keys you should be pulling 75 to 100k+ dps depending on the dungeon. Without multishot to proc beast cleave or trick shots your AOE damage will me insanely low compared to what it should be. Also, if your not using volley as MM then youre doing it wrong for M+ you need that ability for big AOE packs so you dont contantly have to weave in multishot between RF and AS. Also, with Salve your multishot procs 2 explosive shots for bigger aoe damage.
