Do you enjoy doing or watching it?
I personally don’t mind watching it, but I did it once and never again.
Never did it and have no interest in watching it.
If I didn’t enjoy it I wouldn’t spend almost twelve hours (spread out over four raid nights at about three hours a night) killing Mythic Kurog, nor the same time progressing on Mythic Dathea.
Neither, I can’t find 20 players with the skill to it and it is boring as you know what to watch.
I can find many first 2 on finder. Are you even trying?
Neither- the world first races don’t start at the same time around the world as its not really supported by Blizzard so kinda unfair.
Doing it as world first races means you treat it as full time job if not then you are nothing but a carrot follower and if you do it casually you won’t experience the same raid as it will be nerfed over time and you are robbed of the experience .
It great to do it once just to experience it but that’s about it
Depends on the tier, its fun this tier, but what sucks is finding guilds on the servers I like.
delete raiding
They should never design the game around a fraction of a fraction of a percent of players but if people like watching it then who cares. Just stop designing dungeons and raids around the top 0.001%.
I love raiding, yeah. I would only raid at the world rank I’m at or further down, I would never raid at world 200+ again. Too many problems with lazy raiders/disproportionate effort at those ranks.
My enjoyment of raiding largely comes down to the raid design/boss design. This tier wasn’t bad, but sennarth and dathea were absolutely terrible bosses. However kurog, terros and rasz were fun imo, and diurna was cool. I would’ve switched dathea with primal council, primal council had so much potential but was way too early in the raid to see it. Dathea on the other hand was terrible so would’ve preferred that to be the easier one early on and council a difficult one later on.
Overall though yeah I like raiding. I feel like it could use some more seasonal rewards similar to pvp getting elite weapons/elite enchants/elite tabard and m+ getting seasonal mount/title. Raiding doesn’t have any of that, would like to see some more incentive there.
Agreed, but what is designed around the 0.1% regarding raiding? Can’t really think of anything
Do you also mean like that Fated Shadowland season gear ?
I would love to do it, but the personal and logistical commitment do it on a personal level is a bit too prohibitively intense for me
Eh I think fated gear was cool but that’s probably for like one of those extra patches like they had in sl.
I meant more in terms of rewards. IE: Ahead of the curve achievements gives a seasonal enchant, cutting edge gives a seasonal mount or a seasonal weapon arsenal or something.
Not interested in watching sweat lords.
My alt in an LFR raid spent about 45-60 minutes because we got to the very last phase and then someone randomly stood beside a tank and we wiped.
Then the tanks stood too close together again twice and we wiped twice.
The sad part is devs very clearly stated they would not put mechanics into raids where a single person making a single mistake like standing a few pixels too close to someone else would wipe the entire raid yet I spent an hour of my life watching that happen last week.
I don’t think that’s designed for the 0.1% though. They hate that too, kil’jaeden is your best example of that. A fight that had non stop “personal responsibility or wipe the raid” mechanics and it was a massive complaint. I guess at world 70 I would be considered 0.1%? I don’t actually know but If that’s the case then yeah I also hate that, there should be very very minimal “mess this up once and wipe the entire raid” mechanics. Those are usually not fun at all
Let’s be honest though, raiding is about reps even in lfr sometimes. That’s how it goes, you aren’t going in there to 2-3 shot bosses. Sometimes people don’t read the dungeon journal and an lfr group is terrible, I wouldn’t say that is the 0.1%s fault though. Most mechanics are entirely recoverable in this raid it’s just that people don’t react at all in lfr or are also halfway afk from my experience.
I like watching small amounts at a time of Mythic raiding, sure. Usually as just a sort of background thing, though, especially if I can’t swap between PoVs or there’s no framing element (World First, etc.).
As for doing it… no idea. How does one find any substantial number of friends who’d want to do Mythic raiding? Alternatively, how does one work with 19 strangers? Given that, it’s hard for me to see any appeal even in just trying it. I’d rather just do 10-man Heroics.
In XIV, Ultimates get about as hard as Mythic raids (if not harder), and though I’m not a fan of how Dance-Dance-Revolution or unintuitive / memorization-based they can be, at least their being mere 8-man raids keeps them far more manageable.
wish we respawned at the boss, and there was a summoning portal at every boss
playing around soulstone rez or else wait 5 minutes is really annoying
They should delete it.
