Mythic+ Is Losing Players Fast — Delves Are Eating Its Lunch

It is because very few players are actually chasing the IO. The data proves it.

The comparison of delves to M+ is why delves are hard capped to drop the same gear as +6’s but no better…

So the same thing that always happens… happened again?

pretty much the same as its always been

Week 1/2 people were farming their full hero gear sets. By week 4 it’s 8 10+ runs for vault and go play the rest of the game. This is pretty standard.

And the game is losing players too.
It is common that the participation rate drop after a new patch release.
Even delves and raiding participation rate drop.

thats…not bribing. Thats telling you thats the next step for gearing.

You mean when most people who do mplus have finished their gear grinds?

lol I love when people link data and have zero idea what hey are talking about.

PS delve participation was so bad they had to nerf the difficulty into the ground, over buff the already over rewarding rewards, and then force people to do delves for a bis item just to boost its participation.

I feel like this is pretty obvious? People grind 10’s for vault loot. Doing higher keys doesn’t get you any better rewards.

12’s are where you can get keys that don’t drop anymore. You only need a couple of 13’s to get to 3k which is where rewards other than the M+ seasonal title end.

As for 15’s, not everyone has the skill or even the desire to push that high or beyond. The seasonal title is really the only reason.

As far as participation, more runs happen early on because people are grinding new gear. As the gear is replaced, you don’t need to run as many because you already have the gear.

I feel like there are pretty obvious reasons to all the things you’re throwing out there. I mean sure, delves have been popular and fine, but those are very different paths.

“I want better rewards for trivial content”

Yet another version of “give me mythic gear for running delves” thread.

With a nice side of proudly hating M+ as if they deserve a standing ovation and a cookie for that.

Yawn, if you fervently hate M+ then don’t do it and shut up. Take a seat with everyone who boldly touts their hatred of pet battles, nobody cares.

Interesting graph. What’s with the bump on week 4 in previous seasons?

I don’t think it matters what you do to Delves and M+ at this point, this stuff is just getting boooooorrringggg.

Everyone in my guild is bored too. This is just sad. That’s why they’re called developers and not entertainers. I dunno if they even know how to make a fun, entertaining product anymore.

So I am confused here. Isn’t M+ for IO or is it for gearing.

If it is for gearing then the M+ crowd should not have any issues if M+ goes into a solo Que feature.

Did I get that right ?

Anyone who thinks this is just 2 IQ, I’m sorry.

Well I think that.

So now your turn

Great, you can feel good about your hitting 3k in the easiest M+ seasons known to man lol.

2 expansions from now you can go, “hey look guys, I got 3k back in DF when everything was super easy and free”.

That’s literally all I hear now about M+, is how free and easy it is and it’s so easy to gear now.
So why would you take pride in the welfare seasons? This is history repeating its self verbatim, like literal hamster wheel.

I just feel bad.

I’m guessing once you get the mount for hitting 2500, unless you care about the title, there’s no real incentive to do anything above a 10.

Can you stick to 1 point.

You said anyone who thinks keys are for IO is 2 IQ

So if it isn’t for IO then it is for gearing ? So then putting it under a solo Que is benefit then.

So a good question then why shouldn’t we just put a solo Que for M+

Pictured here: 1 point?

M+ is for both. You’d know that if you ever did it. You do M+ for gear. You use that gear to push higher IO. It’s so painfully obvious that it’s for both that your own posted data proves it. First 3 weeks a ton of players were pushing for enough hero track drops to comfortably do 10s. Now they have it and are doing 10s for weekly vault. And gradually pushing into the completely unrewarding territory for the challenge and score.
