I am literally begging you to tell me the name of your main so I don’t accidentally invite you to a group… Please!
No, they deserve loot. Especially if they’re doing over 15’s.
But they need to bring the amount of loot awarded down in line with every other piece of content in the game. M+ showers you with loot, and there’s no lockout.
But keep straw manning about removing loot altogether - i understand you want to protect the loot pinata.
If loot from M+ is such a pinata, why do I still have a 455 weapon after doing over 100 dungeons above +15? Why am I 472 equip still running heroic every week?
Stop whining
M+ is one of the best things added to the game. I don’t have time for Raids. Raids require you to dedicate hours and also there is no guarantee of getting them done or wasting 4-5 hours with repetitive wipes. If you are a busy person like me, you will welcome Mythics. I am thankful I have the option to do Mythic+ to get my gear and not forced to raid.
Also Mythic+ is not so simple as you think, items don’t always drop, they are random and sometimes you get the same item 10 times over and over. For example, I keep getting boots for past 2 months and before that the same bracers. RNG is hell in Mythic+, Raiders have it waaay easy.
Ok what’s your plan then? I mean all you did was really complain and not come up with any alternative. If someone runs a few mythic pluses every day, on time and they are let’s say 15’s. What should they get according to you? I mean timing 15’s does require effort. So let’s hear it.
These sound mutually exclusive.
Just a reminder, ilvl does not mean upgrade. For example, Ashvane’s heroic trinket is (for some classes/specs) way stronger than any 470+ trinket.
With that in mind, raid equipments can only be obtained when raiding. Maybe you got a 470 chest piece from failing a +15, but the traits from a heroic ny’alotha chest that is lower ilvl makes it much stronger than what you got doing m+.
The real question is: are raid equipments stronger than dungeon equipments, regardless on it’s ilvl? If the answer is yes, then M+ is not broken. If the answer is no, then I’ll agree with you.
M+ is designed as a single encounter. Each m+ is the equivalent to a raid boss encounter. Given that you need to beat the timer to keep getting items if a decent reward level, the fact that the items are still 10 less than raid, and given the longer time required, it seems pretty balanced to me.
For a lot of classes their bis azerite comes from the dungeons loot pool and there are some weapons that are also better.
What raiding has over m+ is that is less rng dependent and you can expect to get the item sooner or later, while you might never see the item you need on the weekly boss or the vendor.
Heroic is a joke period. It’s extremely hard to die in heroic even on undergeared characters. A 15 should drop better gear than heroic.
I’m glad you enjoy m+. As has been repeated so many times I’m not sure how you missed it, nobody is suggesting you don’t get loot from running M+.
So, exactly the same as raids, except raids have a 1 week loot lockout whereas M+ let’s you spam farm it 24/7 all week.
You mean like how psyche shredder still hasn’t dropped for me from Nyalotha, but I’ve gotten the same chest (downgrade from the chest I bought with residuum from m+) 3 times now?
Wow, it’s almost like raid loot is random too. Except I only get 1 chance per week to get a trinket because of the loot lockout that m+ doesn’t have!
I’ve said it a few times. Scale back the ilvl and frequency of loot especially from lower keys. Scale the ilvl of loot up for keys past 15. Only give end of week chest loot from the highest key you successfully time (but continue to give end of instance loot, at a lower ilvl, if you complete the dungeon out of time).
Time a +20 successfully? You deserve mythic ilvl loot. Fail a +12? You don’t deserve heroic ilvl loot.
So you think it should have a weekly lockout then, like a normal raid boss encounter?
So basically the same thing we have right now. Except for the you missed the timer so your ilvl of loot is lower thing. So if you fail a heroic boss, die in the encounter but the team gets it down you should get a lower ilvl loot then too. Since I mean you failed the encounter.
See what I mean? Don’t like the sound of that I bet? According to you the person who failed does not deserve heroic ilvl loot. Slippery slopes and all that.
Ill assume you are too uneducated to understand what subjective means. Continue doing whatever it is you are doing.
I would normally agree that infinitely farmable content is bad in WoW, but it is absolutely nessisary with the ARPG loot systems currently in place. There needs to be a way to infinitely farm out these corrupted effects. It is the only bad luck protection in the game, and people are still complaining that it isnt enough.
The weekly chest in Shadowlands has the sum of all content done in one chest.
That includes non-M+ content.
because they want people to admire their epics while they afk in town on purpose.
I’m tired of people like you, raiders that do not want people to be able to get good gear from other content than raiding. This game needs more ways/paths to get decent gear. Stop complaining about M+ and suggest raid-gearing to be improved.
No, I’m saying that you’re being a bit hyperbolic about being “showered” with loot. Running 8 m+ takes a lot longer than the average raid schedule. Add to that the requirement of keeping your key up, the random nature of keys, and the extreme randomness of m+ loot, it’s already imbalanced in raiding favor.
If we’re going to add lockouts to m+, we need to add about 150 trash items to the loot table in raids, kick you to a lower difficulty when you wipe on a boss, completely randomize which bosses are available (look, we Vexiona 6 times tonight!), and stretch out boss fights to last 3-5 times as long. Oh, and if get loot from a boss, that’s it for the week. No matter if you’re in mythic, you’ll get heroic gear the rest of the time. And remove loot trading. (Extra trash, no trading, one shot per week. Now you’re “showered” like m+ players).
It seems unreasonable because it is. These loot paths are different and are balanced differently.
Personally the infinite replayablity isn’t a problem for me. it’s the fact it feels like an obligation to do content you might not be comfortable with (high keys) to pass ilvl breakpoints to do raids.
The T1 set im still trying to finish disagrees, it’s only been a decade though. Maybe next week…
