I'm lucky enough to have convinced my better half to run HFC with me every week just so we can get past HFA. What I'm curious about is why Blizzard didn't address Assault when they changed Gorefiend.

As long as you have atleast one friend (or random that knows what theyâre doing), you can do the fight.
Shouldnât be too hard to find one other player to help with group finder.

Unfortunately it's impossible for certain classes, such as the dk. But I can solo it on my balance druid. Seems like the easiest thing to do would just be to make it only take one Cannon.. And not have you instantly die if one Cannon breaks, everything past that is soloable though, tyrant velhari is a tad bit tedious due to her max hp lowering and heal absorb
Nerfing this will be a small change that might keep me going. As current content is revolting to me.
I feel as though it's near-impossible as a rogue, regardless of spec.

Just allow one cannon to survive its that simple that way i dont have to be in 2 places at the same time!!
You have nerfed other bosses like Blast Furnace for soloers so please nerf this cause its next to impossible to solo it cause you cant down the adds quick enough before a canon dies and you die!!

Assault is soloable as a warlock. Leave a pet on one side to handle some of the adds. You'll still run around like a beheaded chicken and it takes some micro, but it's doable.

Have tried on various classes from mythic to normal. Can't solo. Why are the mechanics still in place for this, but not for other things? Mogs are the only thing keeping me going now, Blizz. I needs my preciouseseses...

Wait, what did they do to Blast Furnace?
AFAIK it's just possible to DPS through the 99% damage reduction on the primalists/elementals now. Everything else is the same.
I wanna do Mythic Hellfire Citadel so bad, but I'm blocked to this initial boss. Normal and Heroic is easy enough, but Mythic, the towers die way too easily.
Please fix this

Yeah, do something already Blizzard.
Remove all stupid mechs preventing us from doing old raids. No more chess games or flying on deathwings back.
If i was in charge i would remove them. I'm sure only 1% of the hard cores would object.

Just make it that all adds to go to the canon itself, whichever side is randomized when you start.

Come on. Itâs 2018. 2 expansions later. And itâs impossible to get past the first boss without finding someone to help you.
Scale up the cannon health with our own lvl 120 health or give us slow classes a speed boost so we can cover both sides.

I find it soloable as a druid, or at least I think I did, IDK if I did mythic though. Might be trying it again tonight for another crack at transmog pieces, so I could always try mythic and report back.

Please nerf Eonar Mythic as well.
