I think he is unholy which usually means too many CDs held for bosses so you get much lower trash dps.
2 handed frost has lower burst but much more consistent aoe in mid sized pulls (cooldown on pillar is like 45-48 seconds).
Unholy is great on the big pulls (like AA tree boss area) but on smaller packs you tend to hold cooldowns too long.
