As a Delve lover myself, I actually like the quest. The extra 15 gilded for running a +2 is a pretty good deal, even though I hate M+.
It’s extra. You are not required to do it for the normal amount of Gilded you can get each week. Calm down.

You don’t have to do it, it’s just an extra 15 Gilded on top of the 31 you usually get from delves.
