The upcoming nerf to Protection Paladins will reduce the healing done by Word of Glory up to a maximum of 100 percent based on the target’s missing HP, down from the current 250 percent. This nerf will hopefully impact the popularity of four-DPS compositions in high Mythic+ keys and Mythic Dungeon International global finals, as Protection Paladins have been successful as a replacement for dedicated healers in these compositions. Blizzard, I believe in you, please make healing good again.
I mean seal of charity still exists. They didn’t even touch that talent
All they had to do was make it so prot paladins had to choose between keeping themselves alive or the group.
it doesnt worry me
we are just experiencing a time where specs with really good offhealing (pal, druid, shaman, priest) all happen to be meta at once
What’s with the fixation with paladins, how many threads about them must you make before you’re sated?
What’s more interesting than all of this is that the no healer runs aren’t even any more efficient than a 3 dps 1 healer run.
Just seems like something cool/fun to do.
depends on the run tbh
you get more group damage usually
but i watched naguura do a 24 NO without a healer and she stopped dps during tempest multiple times to offheal, and she had to commit talents to it (this was tyran before tempest was nerfed)
the average pug most healers are playing with are still figuring out how to not be one shot by mechanics even at the 22-23 level and i dont think people realize how clean the stops have to be and the coordination needed to do no healer keys lol
i just want to see them buff healer dps across the board tbh.
yea not gonna lie seeing a 28 cos second boss without a healer was pretty crazy. but at the end of the day it’s not like this can be the meta
it requires way too much brain and like u said people just can’t do it
It’s not hard to check the timestamp to see that this thread is the same from 3 days ago
Yet you made 2 more threads about paladins in that span. Why?
If you took the time to look closely you would see they are all different topics.
- This one
- Paladins most populated class
- Ret Paladins top of DMG meters
I’ll give you a tip though, if you want my thread gone then all you have do is stop replying in it which bumps it back to the top.
All different topics about paladin so I fail to see how you’re refuting my point.
Thx for the bump
Well Prot Pally is considered a healer for Solo Shuffle, so this is a pretty big hit to players who actively played to that strength. Will be interesting to see what, if any, adjustments they make for Solo Shuffle.
I’m glad to see Blizz so quick to take action to ensure the healer role isn’t discouraged from participation in M+. I just wish the same courtesy would be applied to the tank role in PVP.
And the only reason why they are is because of their superior toolkit than other tanks. They are so OP that Blizzard couldn’t even make them DPS like the rest of the tanks in Solo Shuffle lol.
It’s a meme setup to test it out. Did you see warrior discouraged to use any gear when that one guy did it naked?
They’re not really OP in PVP. Brewmasters have managed to achieve much better ratings, but is the only tank spec that has managed to crack 3k rating. Prot Pally sits above the other tanks, but is still well behind virtually every dps and healer spec.
They are, now imagine if no one spoke out against the Paladin rework, they would be the #1 spot by a heavy margin. According to that same leaderboard, Ret Paladin hit 3,510k rating.
What does Ret have to do with Prot?
Funny because healers cried about healing being too hard once DF launched.
They got exactly what they asked for in SL and just flipped complaints.
IDC, the average prot pally aint doing that crap. It would be a stupid nerf that ruins the game for the lower end in favor or 1 or 2 random prot pally.
