Easy there… let’s not get jumpy here… of course I read it…
I’m not saying I’m agaisnt ever having more races becoming Druids. That story would be perfect for Earthens to just start on the path of Druidsm becuse of these anciente knowledge found but if all we get is a whole group of Earthens that have been Druids in secret for thousands of years then I call bs.
How is a group no one knows about doing something no one knows about BS?
Not understanding the problem here.
Well I regret to inform you that if my translation of these stoneglyphs are correct, It should be assumed that the earthen of the Freysworn predate not only dragons, but the Emerald Dream itself.
We’re trying to discern the who what when where and whys.
Because there isn’t a problem. Freya possibly teaching the earthen a unknown form of Druidism fits perfectly with what we know about her as a Titan Watcher and how she cares deeply for those in her care.
As long as they do things right I won’t have problems with it, if not it won’t matter anyways. People can disagree on things and I understand I will be the minority here.
I’m just here to express my thoughts in the subject not to pick up fights with other players.
I will have to wait and see how things unfold.
Reading the second and third woldstone Is intriguing because it implies that whatever the earthen practice, It’s like a primordial form of druidism and shamanism.
But almost explicitly in a topography aspect.
So less using the magic to commune with nature or the elements, and more just to use it for landscaping and ecosystem building.
How much of that is freya and how much is earthen I have no idea.
So, more using said magic to bend the world to whatever shape the titans desired? Like how the giants were created to uplift the mountains, etc?
Exactly.
However there is a focus on Freyas staff in all three woldstones and i genuinely think it ties into the lorebook in the emerald dream about Freyas/Eonars squabble with the order titan.
So if we combine that with the roots in nerubkar, We can presume that the Freysworn are its protectors.
World tree roots, druidism, black blood.
There’s a lot to speculate on, but I have no idea how it ties to her secret edict.
Which would make perfect sense and fit the lore. We have to remember that according to the lore (which keeps changing so I’m not even sure of things anymore) many races have been attuned to nature and have wielded its magic since forever but non of them were trully Druids. Malfurion is the first true Druid. Cenarius taught his crafts to many but only Malfurion became the first. So everytime I see some new druids who “are truelly the firsts of the firsts” I roll my eyes…
Verdant Eyes?..
The Vault of Memory is starting to look really suspicious right now!
Remember Odyn told the Titan Keepers to pass off all works of the Old Gods as Titan works!
In otherwords I suspect the Halls of Infusion to be Yogg-Saron’s original prison that he broke out of when Odyn sought to get resources for invading Avaloren(N’Zoth and C’Thun also broke out by the way). Tyrhold built on top of it would be Archaedas’s work explaining why Ra-Den assumed the Chamber of the Heart was made by him.
Since Yogg-Saron is called a God of Death I suspect him to be Mueh’zala. The Void Lords all but welcomed the Nathrezim in their presence so the Nathrezim creating a God of Death for the Void Lords to throw at Azeroth isn’t impossible!
Ulduar in otherwords is just Icecrown Citadel’s actual name and yes Arthas chained Yogg-Saron/Mueh’zala with the same bindings used for N’Zoth for being the Nathrezim’s agent upon usurping Ner’zhul!
Loken would be appointed Icecrown Citadel’s Prime Designated Protector with 4 Titan Keepers appointed to help run the place while Deathwing and Murozond(no wonder Zovaal could see Sargeras’s Sword stabbing Azeroth) are appointed to the job of monitoring Azeroth’s evolution if the Tribunal of Ages is to be believed.
The Tribunal of Ages only mentions the Titans as gifting a weapon to the Earthen and never calls the Creators Titans so if we look at the Creators as the Nathrezim then we must assume the Dragon Aspects the Tribunal mentioned as Deathwing and Murozond.
N’Zoth of course managed to corrupt both Deathwing and Murozond during Cataclysm(he even shows Deathwing in his Cataclysm Armor in Deepholm as the exact moment he corrupted Deathwing indicating he did not corrupt him until that moment) cheating Mueh’zala of his prize!
The Chamber of Heart and The Last Prison(of the same Architectural Style as Icecrown and the Halls of Infusion) are just the Nathrezim putting the Old Gods back into containment(which they originally broke out of due to Odyn needing resources to purify Avaloren which I suspect pulled a Reverse Uno Card on him purifying him with Light explaining why he uses that instead of Holy or Arcane Order like Tyr’s Keepers) upon the events of WC3.
Elunaria thus would be the AU Ulderoth(they literally share the same map) where the Nathrezim put Eonar once they got their hands on her just to sabotage the Legion’s Victory.
The Nathrezim would have built the Vault of Memory to facilitate the creation of more Souls even if the resulting Earthen have long lifespans.
The only true Titan Architecture we’ve seen is Stormheim, the Halls of Valor, Tyrhold, Uldaman and Dornogal/Ringing Deeps!
The tiniest issue here being that he already has an avatar that is tied to the loa. Their entire civilization has been pretty anti old god so you can’t really wrap them into this mythos.
Your post has a lot of insane levels of speculation. But i’m not really seeing where the puzzle pieces connect together.
His speculation also ignores that we already know meuz’ala and yog’saron are two separate entities and we’ve physically seen both in action already
Yog in wrath muezala in BfA
I am revisiting this thread after completing a Theatre Troupe event, called ‘The Cruelty of Dornic’.
Act I: Dornic, the Keeper’s Gift
Celebrate the arrival of Dornic, the earthen’s new watcher!
The Keeper says: Behold, beloved earthen! I have generously provided you with a new leader: Dornic!
Dornic says: I am Watcher Dornic! Under my leadership, the earthen shall reach their full potential!
Dornic says: I command you to celebrate my arrival!
Earthen Celebrant says: The earthen greet you, Dornic!
Earthen Celebrant says: Hooray for Dornic!
Earthen Celebrant says: Three cheers for Dornic!
Earthen Celebrant says: Welcome, Dornic!
Act II: The Cruelty of Dornic
Dornic is cruel to the earthen! Don’t let his orbs zap you!
Dornic says: Now that the keeper is gone… Get to work, you blockheads!
Dornic says: I decree that you shall triple your production rates, or I will punt you down the Coreway!
Dornic says: Mua ha ha ha haaaaa!
Act III: The Keeper’s Judgment
The Keeper has given the earthen permission to rebel against Dornic!
*Destroy as many orbs as possible
The Keeper says: What is this? What is he doing? Dornic’s brutality knows no bounds! I have made a terrible mistake!
The Keeper says: Rise up, my children! You have my permission to rebel against your cruel Watcher!
Dornic says: Traitorous Keeper! Wretched earthen! You will all regret this!
Finale: The End of Dornic
Drag Dornic to the portal and away from the isle forever!
Drag Dornic to the portal
Dornic says: Gah! I’ve been struck! I… I cannot move!
The Keeper says: Well done, my beloved earthen. I promise to never leave you with such a tyrannical master again.
The Keeper says: Now, drag his husk from this place!
Join the crew and take a bow!
Take a bow
Dornic says: You will regret this, earthen! My sister Galan will strike you all down!
The Keeper says: Do not worry, my stone-born children. You will never have a cruel master again!
The Keeper says: You are my bedrock, you are my foundation. You are my beloved earthen!
What is interesting is ‘The Keeper’ is a generic main titan, but it could be possible that this Keeper is indeed Freya. Just more further speculation and observation of Earthen Lore and the furthering ‘Mystery of the Druids’.
If that “Keeper” is Freya, she has a major throat problem.
i mean it’d be sorta weird that earthen, despite having ‘druids,’ don’t have connection to the emerald dream, which is the psychic realm that sort of coheres all druids. especially since freya herself literally created that realm.
earthen druids could sorta be neat, but you would then need to account for the swath of time in which the titan keeper which apparently justifies their existence also just… didn’t bother connecting them at all to the actual core of druidic magic, which was her direct working. if anything, the arborists we see in-game are more just… gardeners, really.
That or baseline earthen don’t have the software (edicts) to access the dream. Which would of course tie in to how some of the freysworn seem to have those druidic connections, as they follow a hidden edict of Freya.
my point is that none of the earthen have this connection. or if some do, it would be an inconsistency w/ the lore of the emerald dream. and it still doesn’t really get past the fundamental question: ‘if freya really wanted some earthen to have druidic magic, why not given them access to the dream, which is the focal point of their (i.e. druids’) powers and magic?’
Well, I mean the entire point of the thread is figuring out the secrets behind what they are and who they are. I see no indication that the Freysworn are NOT druidic in purpose, but as for why they have never been connected to the Emerald Dream? Well, that is partially what this thread is for trying to figure out.
- What are the Freysworn?
- What is Freyas hidden edict?
- What are their ties to Druidism and the Dream, if any?
- What purpose do they serve if they operate outside the Dream?
- How do they function without the Dream, if they do at all?
These are the fundamental things im curious about and what lead to this threads creation.
i think that’s the issue. i don’t see any reason to assume that they are. if anything, i wonder if they’re not to account, say, for earthen shaman, considering how much of the excerpts was to do with things like ‘flowing waters,’ and you get a quest from one freysworn where she talks about assuaging the elementals in the area. but also, i think intuitively they just tend to the plants. maybe they’re a subdivision of the stonewards. but aside from having some branches in their armor, idk why one would suppose any druidic connection per se
