Do you not consider 10-man raids to be actual raids?
no, theyâre more like big dungeon groups. theyâre closer to M+ than to raiding.
Really? Because I donât remember there being 3.3.5 talent configs at the start of the expac back in the day. That was certainly still Wrath.
The same can be said for 25-man raids, as well.
Did you make a big deal about it at the start of classic and TBCC though?
My gripe with this decision would be that neither Classic nor TBC Classic saw any major feature/tool removed. There WERE changes, absolutely, but all tools and features were implemented appropriately. This feels more than a coincidence that Blizzard is now fighting to implement a feature from the original game that would directly affect their profits through their own paid-for boosts.
Player counts. Observing people in game. They have many ways of analyzing data that we just donât have access to. Player surveys, etc etc.
Observing what, exactly? They already do, and theyâre not taking action to rectify the problems we have now.
We have many ways to analyze the same form of data, but not down to an exact number, since Blizzard has stopped making their statistics readily accessible by the public.
Both of these methods are highly susceptible to manipulation with players able to create and utilize multiple accounts, especially with VPNs being increasingly popular, thereâs no guaranteed way of either of these not being tampered with.
Really? Not wanting to engage with closed-minded people is âthe worst kinds of attitudesâ? No. Having a closed mind is the worst kind of attitude. It means youâre not going to even consider you might be wrong. If you canât consider the fact that you MIGHT be wrong⌠youâre not worth having a discussion with.
Thought is was hella weird but people werenât making dumb arguments about stuff back then. Def thought it was weird putting in a lot of items that werenât initially at the start.
In a debate, itâs up to each party to prove the other wrong. Many people who are against LFD cite the âdestruction of communityâ as one of the vital repercussions it will bring, but never get past âyouâll just sit in cities, waiting for your queues to popâ because we counter with âThatâs what people do now, and we donât have Dungeon Finder,â and they have nothing else to counter with themselves.
For people that are closed-minded, itâs important for you (or the opposition) to lay out the facts, and if they donât accept that, then youâve done your job. But, to dismiss those people because of the very passion they have for the game, is ridiculous. There are people on here (some have labelled as trolls) that have a different opinion than myself on LFD, but that doesnât mean that I just ignore their comments.
If youâre closed-minded, you canât participate in debates. Youâre not debating at that point, youâre waiting for your turn to talk and say your piece.
What do you think debates are
A debate is an exchange of opposing ideas and viewpoints. If youâre doing that with a closed mind⌠youâre just preaching.
This is literally what happens in debates - you say your side, you then wait for the opposition to deliver a rebuttal, and then rinse and repeat.
Yes, which applies to my above point.
9/10 people actively engaged in a debate have conducted their research into both sides of the argument - no one enters debates hoping for anything but their points to be declared the âwinner.â
Youâre an example of what people think debates are, but Iâm afraid youâre just mistaken. If youâre going into a debate completely unwilling to change your mind⌠I have no interest in debating with you.
The FIRST thing you should do before going into a debate is ask yourself âcould I be wrong?â and if you say no, then you shouldnât debate. Likewise, if your opponent says no to that question, then you shouldnât debate them.
If you answer no to that question, I will not engage with you further.
Have a nice night, then.
Youâre free to come back if you approach the topic with an open mind.
Not worth continuing the conversation. Thanks, though.
Not when one has a closed mind, no
