They would still be here crying. Our Server would be fine but most of the PvP realms are skewed in favor of horde. Their wait times would be longer and there would be more here crying about it.
They should have just done battle groups, all the RP-PvP servers with RP -PvE together, etc etc.
It is a bummer and yes, Blizzard could have at least tried to encourage balanced populations (simply showing numbers may have helped, you donât know how many will stay but I mean, why not?). Blizzard could at least try to⊠well, they donât care so not worth the forum babble on this. They really donât care. If you are not enjoying the game now, definitely quit. It will not improve.
What I donât get are all the trolls who seem to want classic to fail. There are always those trolls who do, but seem to be a lot for classic.
Despite major flaws I am enjoying myself enough to keep playing. I just re-sub for a month and then cancel, since I know at some point I will feel it is time to leave and it could be at any moment. I could be around for 6+ months or another game will catch my eye and I am done, because of the many glaring problems and Blizzard do nadda. Retail suxors, I left that years back.
Overall, Blizzard is a mere shadow of what it once was. Many of their games lately have been very so-so, donât think Iâll buy any more of their new games unless on sale and reviews are good.
This is literally the exact same thing OP is doing but youâre giving him crap for it. He is unhappy with the state of the game and expressing it on a public forum as intended. If youâre really that bothered by someone being unhappy with the state of the game and voicing it then just ignore the thread.
Iâm not really surprised about the faction imbalance problem. With everyone knowing as much about Vanilla as we do now it shouldnât come to a surprise PvP is dominated by a huge population of players who rolled horde for the racials. I saw it coming and a ton of other players saw it coming. That being said I have to agree with what you say. Itâs baffling to me Blizzard did not see this coming or if they did they did nothing to prevent it. They could have easily just locked off character creation for those without characters or locked them off to specific factions once a certain threshold was met. Instead they stuffed many times over what original vanilla servers would hold with layering basically just hoping enough people quit in time for world bosses. That didnât happen on many servers and layering was in my opinion turned off too early, people quit but not nearly as many as they expected. Vanilla was not designed to handle the populations we have on the larger servers with the greatly increased concurrent player limit.
In another move that just blows my mind is now that paid transfers are an option they opened it up completely unrestricted. There really should be a restriction on either what faction can join or what faction can leave. My server which is already very overpopulated definitely one of the highest for PvE has tons of people from PvP servers coming into Alliance making the problem worse. Farming anything is a nightmare if your not a class that can farm instances. The Alliance is massively favored on this server although it matters much less due to being PvE I still donât agree with the idea of letting more and more people on Alliance here. I can just imagine how awful this would be in an opposite scenario on PvP servers.
Hmm, less about the wait times and more about match quality. When you have a smaller pool of players to play with, things get around. Fewer matches are open, so you dont get to just spam queue to abuse as easily. Reputations develop. You cant just treat everyone like human garbage without consequences like you can when the pool is as deep as Xrealm makes it.
Sure they wouldnât enjoy the wait, but , I think if the matches werenât actual trash tier, people would be a bit less upset about having waits. The combination we have right now where Horde waits are long and the match is gonna be garbage 9/10 of the time makes for some pretty unhappy players.
Even instant queues like we Alliance have donât make up for how unfun pvp bgs are.
If Alliance hated wPvP so much they could of rolled on a PvE server. Solved the hole beginning of Phase 2. Alliance at this time do not have Shaman so wouldnât roll Alliance because of that. I only play Shaman and Warriors in EQ, EQ2, WoW and in SW:ToR I played again Warrior and Healing Sorcerer.
When BGs launched server times for horde where 3 minutes for days, so it wasnât a population imbalance. So there are enough Alliance to support the amount of Horde in cue, its that they choose not to because they either only wanted rank 3 (me), got screwed over by own faction cue dodging, or Horde farming them after in BGs.
And there you have it ladies and gentlemen. Someone who ignores the fact that itâs a system created problem and not a player created one. Being obtuse to the core problems and blaming it on players is easy.
I had an Alliance toon on heartseeker
by realm, alliance was massively over populated.
I deleted the alliance toon, cause you have to, and made a horde toon instead.
Yes, before someone lectures me, i know that over all that contributed to yet another horde, i cant balance the whole damned classic universe, only the realm i played on.
Everyone has to balance their own back yard.
Faction imbalance is a blizzard made problem, when balancing them is taken from the players hands.
Adding server transfer at the wrong place for the wrong faction, sounds like a blizzard problem and not showing us the real server balance is another.
You can speak for yourself there but not everyone. Plenty of people are also just on here instead of playing.
Itâs not. People are already going back to private servers because of Blizzardâs âvanillaâ. The only people who think is the is the same as vanilla are the ones who didnât actually play vanilla.
Then you should know they arenât the same (then again Iâve had 13 year olds try to tell me they played Vanilla). Feel free to google-fu the differences all you want. But we will never have a vanilla wow, especially from Activision-Blizzard.
And Iâm not even saying all the differences are on Blizzâs side. You simply cannot have the same game/experience that we had back in 2004.
Edit: Youâve even commented on threads talking about the differences and mistakes from Blizz. Itâs just denial at this point my man.
