sook more, i did the HC tournament with the lab suffix and started the game with 260 people at the same time and could still get mobs, they spawn so fast.
Already have. Running the addon, normal name with no ‘HC’ in it (looks dumb) in a regular leveling guild. You’ll have no idea whether I’m HC or not. Your threats are meaningless.
In my opinion as well.
I’m sorry that you and Piptak are leaving or considering doing so.
I’ve been playing on BsB less and spending more time elsewhere until the twitch kiddies follow their streamer gods to the next thing.
But this is unacceptable, Blizzard.
A little discouraged in the support of what the Classic team has identified as their “first and most important design pillar”: Nurture and Protect Social Experiences.
This is a game world that all are sharing but the lack of respect for others is pathetic. I have no problem with non-roleplayers on BsB, a realm that was designated for RP and that has not changed. The players I know that roleplay are careful to move along to another location if we could be disturbing others as even simple emotes or a single line of in-character dialogue in /say will set off non-roleplayers now on the server triggering slurs (rp f____ ) or grossly inappropriate exhortations to “kill yourself”. Players are trying to roleplay in a space that was designated for them and that activity. What of our social experience when attempting to roleplay on a roleplaying server?
Please spin up another realm so those hc players can move on and be happy they don’t have to share our roleplaying server with us.
Griefers will never get me with their green dragon! Come at me bro
Blizz should make 1 HC server so all the degens can play there.
Just reroll on a PvP server. There are a ton of people playing the gwme traditionally on the Whitemane cluster.
The HC crowd does seem to be even more toxic than the PvP people, which I didn’t think was possible until I saw it. Between what they name their characters and say in chat channels I don’t think I’ve ever seen WoW behavior this bad. This even blows away 2005 Barren’s chat. I guess they pick the vulgar names since they won’t be keeping that toon more than a few days anyway.
I could just make mirrors on Mankrik and start over entirely, but at least with Ciann here, I’ve made a lot of memories on him already just in the short time I’ve played him and got him to his level, so rerolling him on a Classic realm - rather than retail, which I’ve done for Cata era stuff - just feels wrong. Like I’m giving up all the progress and memories I made.
I’ll still have a few characters on BB to pop in and check on things, but at least the ones I actively wanted to play in Classic, I think may be better to move. But, as I said - giving it until the end of the week before I decide. It’s my hope that perhaps with the new M+ season beginning in DF on Tuesday, that a good majority of the less than stellar streamer followers will leave once their streamer possibly goes back to retail for a while.
I’m not expecting things to just magically get better, of course, but I’m still wanting to give it a fair chance to before jumping the gun.
Indeed. I understand why HC players initially rolled on the RP server as opposed to literally anywhere else, but the way it is now is just wholly unacceptable and outright depressing. The server is the only Classic server designated specifically for RP. We don’t have the luxury of choice like on retail, where you have Emerald Dream (even if it’s dying), Wyrmrest Accord, Moon Guard, and probably a few others I don’t recall. Classic era only has Bloodsail… so where do RPers go when they’re forced out of their only specifically-designated server, by increasingly rude and vitriolic HC players?
Most go back to retail, from what I’ve seen. Which means less people are playing Classic. And sure, RPers are a sub-genre of a sub-genre of gamers… but we’re still paying players wanting a place to do what we like best in the game. As it stands, I’m unlikely to ever get to experience pre-Cata timeline RP, because the one server for it has been overrun by HC players who are becoming increasingly toxic as the challenge blows up in popularity. Era RP was already a much, much smaller pool than what can be found on retail - this may genuinely kill it entirely, and that’s really disappointing.
Saddest part is, I doubt even with official HC realms, that everyone who makes the gameplay experience so awful on BB will even move off to those. Unless free transfers were offered from BB to the HC realms-- but even then, some people just refuse to move servers for a number of reasons. And by the time they actually get HC servers to us, it may be too late to rebuild the RP community on the RP-designated server.
30 plus people isnt unplayable and there is several zones u can lvl in. Loch modan redridge darkshore westfall wetlands.
All around the same lvl with quests. Super easy to avoid 30+ people.
But u are probably better to unsub because if 30+ people in a zone bugs you. Then u arent meant to play a mmo.
I don’t mean to be part of the problem. If the server returns to normal I can transfer my RP horde back. It seems silly to play where I have to turn off chat and skip major quest lines form griefing.
Started a char on Windseeker last eve. I was pleasantly surprised with the nice people there, after a few weeks of Bloodsail toxicity. Much better for me mentally.
Lol facepalm… youre a narcissist with your ten followers.
Unsubbed and HC mode ruining 1-30 is the reason I gave Blizzard.
It’s a game and we are all looking for enjoyment. You are not part of any problem.
Some things in moderation I can roll with but day after day of nerds being spiteful to other nerds about the ways we choose to play pretend gets tiresome. I didn’t mind doing my thing in places where impact would be zero to minimal on players that didn’t think much of roleplay/roleplayers but that hasn’t helped. I tried keeping my characters hunting in out of the way places so I could play the way I wanted without impact to the new arrivals but there were always people willing to call my play “griefing” both in zone wide chat and in whispers threatening to report me for this imaginary griefing (playing an aoe frost mage bouncing between a couple of the numerous murloc camps in Dustwallow Marsh is apparently now “griefing” for example).
People that are looking for confrontation and antagonizing others/egging each other on are present on all realms but it seems that BsB has gotten an extreme concentration recently unlike anything I’ve seen previously on the server. Enjoy your new character/characters on the Mankrik cluster - it is nice and the OGs there are pretty darn friendly and helpful. Hopefully Blizzard will open a hc server (with free transfers to it for the crowd into that playstyle if necessary) and people will go there leaving BsB to return to the quiet, tolerant hub of roleplay that it has been for quite some time.
See you then.
Good when less toxic individual. See ya!
I’d rather have non-communicative HC than toxic, useless RP-ers.
Of that I have no doubt. Stay off the RP server then, you won’t have to deal with us.
Nobody even plays on the vanilla client anymore, if I were you I’d be extremely thankful for HC injecting life into a dead game
Gee, thanks for bringing people who trash talk the RP players on my server and tell us to leave because we suck etc, much appreciated.
OOhhh, I’m sort of excited to return to classic era, unless no one’s there XD! I was enjoying playing solo, but if there’s some weirdos camping things out, I know a few ways to get rid of such people.
Dang it, I miss playing rogue…
My forums are being destroyed by anti-HC bigots.
