Also, if you can, sign up for the Next Door community. You can pinpoint it to your location. People give away things on there sometimes, and you can ask questions as to where to get ABC thing. It’s composed of people in your neighborhood specifically, so it’s a lot more centralized to you.
1080p60, 24” or 27” (personal preference there), HDMI or DisplayPort for connectivity. A 1650 would probably die if you tried to run wow in 4k, and mightily struggle with 1440p, so no reason to get a monitor that supports that.
I’m very sorry for your loss Ahz. Thank you for helping me out with advice.
I think we all need our own little something to zone out too every now and again. Lol
You’re better off upgrading GPU/Motherboard before spending >200 on a monitor with a 1650.
If you need one now…Asus ProArt are reliable, high quality and true color. The PA248QV is 75hz 1080p, 24" FreeSync which sounds about good for your uses. $240 MSRP.
And if you photo edit or do digital art at all, it is a decent entry level working screen. Best picture on a 1080p you’ll probably find.
(^^^ have two ProArts, a QHD 27" and 4k 32")
It kinda sounds like they do need one now, since their current display’s basically non-functional. That’s different from the norm of someone getting rid of an otherwise working display just because they want something better!
I use two

It’s so funny. I connected it to the tv and I feel like I’m at the movies now. It’s so big! My hubby is out for a little so I figured why not try it. I would never get used to this.
Maybe one day I can upgrade my card too. But later, I’ve spent too much.
Alaysia - I’m using a 45" wall-mounted flat screen TV (LG brand) mounted to the wall as my monitor. So, if you’re using a computer which has an HDMI port for the monitor connection, and have a modern TV with a HDMI port on the back, see if you can hook up your computer to the TV via HDMI cable and see if it will work as the monitor. My LG TV is about 5 years old.
Note: my computer is a Mac Mini
Update: I see you got your TV to work as a monitor already - good job!
An Acer SB220Q bi 1080p for my main montior and a 720p (stretched to 1080p) Insignia NS-32D120A13 TV.
newegg com/p/N82E16824025945?Item=9SIA4P0A7V4168 is my monitor. Had it for a couple of years now, stuck a Soundblaster Katana soundbar under it and it works like a champ.
I sit about 2 feet from my monitor so a larger one one wouldn’t really do me any good because it would go out of my field of view.
You just missed the return of the treasure truck deal(HP x27Q)
