My least favorite end-game content is Raiding - Change my mind

Why do you edit EVERY comment you make to me… Sheesh… Get it out the first time B…B…B… Billy

Because it’s a feature that’s allowed. Why don’t you relax. Why do you enjoy belittling people and mocking people? Are you evil?

Also, answer the question. Why are you lying about me/making things up just to make me seem wrong/etc?

Which is why i said “made it even worse” and not “started it”. The “gogogo mentality” always existed, m+ (and Blizzard’s insistence on thinking wow is a esport ready game) only incentivized it more and made it worse.

“Change My Mind” usually isn’t used for these types of opinions. I can’t realistically be expected to make you like something you dislike.

Well imo the “gogogo” mentality is the best part of WoW. I dislike sitting around doing nothing which is sadly what a lot of the game is sometimes.

Find a better guild dear lord. Aside from how long raids take every single argument you made is fixed by finding a better guild…

I told you that is not an option. So I’ll just have to try it and see how it goes this Expac.

That creates its own set of problems. Allowing infinite running of bosses for loot creates the incentive to run it as many times as possible until you get the drop(s) you’re looking for. If your issue is RNG dependency for loot, something like the SL S4 dinar system would be better than removing the lockout.

Then this should be your last post… period

That’s fair. They should have the dinar system for sure. I think that’s how loot should always be in fact that was my idea I told people in SL season 1 that they should add tokens instead of drops so when you have 3 tokens or whatever you can get an item of your choice.

@holyeyes Excuse me but you’re not entitled to make that decision. This is my thread on a public forum where anyone is allowed to argue or chat, including you. If you’re not going to be positive or add anything then why are you harassing me?

I don’t think it was M+ per se, it is the group finder in general. When people in groups became disposable and interchangeable, instead of potential friends to play with again, that was when WoW was better.

I prefer PUGs over having to make friends so it’s definitely debatable which is better.

If you’re extroverted you’ll like making friends more if you’re introverted you might prefer PUGs/etc.

Obviously re-tune the acquisition of the dinars for a longer season.

If you just want to re-run bosses over and over for practice, you can already do that in LFR/N/H. Mythic is a different story.

I added a whole post… You chose to argue with me about it.

That already existed before mythic plus. Literally human nature. People saying well in vanilla we went a lot slower, like I’ve been playing since vanilla, yes when it was a brand new game not just an expansion but as a fresh new game weren’t really others like it we went slower. After 15 to 20 years people tend to not stand around and soak in the game. We as players are way farther ahead than we were back then. And secondly I hate when you use some people doing something as a reflection of everyone doing it. Just because a couple groups operated that way doesn’t mean they all operated that way. Exaggerating claims doesn’t help your argument either.

You can be an introvert and still raid mythic in a guild. You might just not talk on comms. Lol.

I mean, I’ve been running dungeons as fast and as hard as I possibly can since I started tanking on my Druid in WotLK.

I was fully raid geared on my Feral Druid – I had an absolutely nasty Armor Pen set that I would tank Normals/Heroics in. I’d respec my points a bit for tanking… but I could pull half the dungeon, and kill everything while surviving pretty reasonably while doing it. It was really fun. I earned that Perky Pug so freaking fast. I eventually just started running them for fun – even after I nolonger needed the badges.

Anyways my point is – Turbo Derp Zerging dungeons is nothing new.

That being said – Some tanks go too far with it. Like you can’t be pulling mobs that are going to kill your group with AOEs / randomly casting spells at people without stopping to kill the mobs. Some packs need to die.

So basically – you’re just getting bad tanks. There is a sweet spot for speed running dungeons. Fast AF without being so fast that the tank is the only one who can survive the incoming damage.

This just sounds like a bad raid group. For starters, you should already at least have seen a guide on a given fight before going in, the same way you would research class matchups for PvP or trash routes for M+. On top of that, any extra waiting before pulling is just people wasting time

Then your group needs to get good. A wipe is not a failure of the strategy, it’s a failure of the group to execute the strategy. The reason groups tend to stick with a specific strategy when it comes to raiding is because changing tactics from what the group is accustomed to will put them back at square one, with the muscle memory of the previous strategy.

Then find a group that raids multiple times per week instead of trying to do the entire thing in one night. You can leave a raid and come back later in the week and won’t lose any progress

Raid bosses have way more varied and complex mechanics than dungeon bosses

Yeah, and I quite liked this, actually.

I have no interest in either raiding or PvP. I’ll probably do M+ with my guildies once I get to 70, but otherwise my “end game” – a term I really dislike in the context of MMOs – is seeing the sights & sniffin’ the daisies.

No, you can’t change my mind.
