Idk man I’m not a lawyer. But honestly what makes more sense to you: Blizz releases Classic to all their cheering fans out of the goodness of their heart while doing their level best to make it the best vanilla experience possible. Or Blizz releases Classic with as little effort as they could muster because they were told by a team of lawyers this would be the least expensive way to maintain copyright protection.
