My biggest problem with PvP gear in WoW

I’ve been playing Outlaw this whole season and I’m really wanting to try out Sin before the season ends, however all my gear has full Haste on it. Looking at a few basic guides on Sin Rogue they all say the same thing, haste is bottom of the stat priority list .

I hate this, having to grind out an entire inventory of gear again to get the stats I need to suit the spec I want to play. Changing up specs is so user unfriendly and I really wish there was better design when it came to this problem.

But look at it this way, at least you won’t have to grind crests again, provided all your gear is fully upgraded.

Just change your loot spec to sin, get a few pieces, upgrade for gold, then swap. I run a guardian / feral Druid with a mix of gear for both. It works well, who knew a high crit tank would be so fun to play.

I’ve got two Hunters for a reason lol, one is MM and one is Survival.

Also, one is Horde and one is Alliance, so I guess it’s a bit more than spec- they’re obviously different races and professions, too.

I just wanted to play Hunter again, but in a different way. I tried other ranged casters, nothing stuck.

Warbound stuff helps, but yeah ultimately the grind is still there in most ways.

You probably threw away gear that would’ve been good for Sin while gearing Outlaw, so maybe check item restore.

You also don’t have to be full bis just to try Sin.

Lmao you dont need full BIS gear to try out a spec esp to do WQ and LFR bud

Confused how even changing Hero talents in same spec requires different stats.

I fully understand when I play tank/dps/heals I need a partial 2nd and 3rd gear set, but same class that can only dps?

You could try crafting 3 jewellery slots with your desired stats, that’s like a 300-400 stat swing right there I think?

Gearing does not need to be any easier.

Yeah gearing is already as easy as it’s ever been.

My bigger issue with it is that the gear is absolutely boring. Gear design boils down to the same nonsense every time.

Main stat
Stam
Substat 1
Substat 2 (These substats will always add up to roughly the same number)

We used to get gear with less substat weight and interesting procs on it, pieces with three substats weighted equally, or only 1 weighted heavily. On it goes.

Now every item is just a copy paste template of another with a different substat allocation. There’s no interesting extremely rare BIS drops from dungeons or raids, nothing. Just the same generic nonsense.

I think the best example of how boring gear has become is the new Rotmire gear. Limited loot pool, so they could’ve been creative, and the majority of the gear is just the same old template with the only interesting pieces being ring, amulet, and trinkets.

Getting the stats you want ain’t easy though, so I guess gearing isn’t easy then. Hmmm, might need to work on our terminology skills.

It is obscenely easy unless you’re literally a potato.

The only hard part of gearing this season for my guild was getting everyone a mythic Gaze, and the bonus rolls made that a joke too.

Get 4 tier pieces
Craft 2 items with whatever stats you want.
Go to the dungeons with the rings and neck you want. Coin til you get them (You are guaranteed them eventually)

Secondary stats barely matter outside of jewellery so you just target 3 slots. It really is not hard. Pretty much every caster wanted the nexus set bonus for example.

Getting an alt the stats it needs is a never ending quest, worst thing about WoW right now.

It took me a day. Literally 1 day, to get an alt from fresh 90 to 285 with the right stats. You have so many bonus rolls for deterministic loot you just have to run the dungeon that drops the thing you want. Catalyst stuff for tier as you get it, maybe an off piece for better stats. By the time I had the crests I had a workable item for every slot except my neck, which I just crafted so I was wearing 3 crafted pieces instead of 2.

Seriously this warrior is 1 reset deep. Gearing is insanely fast.

The only place stats matter is jewellery, and as you say you’ve got 24 bonus rolls to get them.

And then if you want haste / mastery, sporefall offers a ring and a neck you’re probably using long term anyway. Alongside the other high ilvl items too.

So for example as a shadow priest I’d be coining.

Sporefall: 8-10 coins used. Chest, Boots, Ring, Neck
Nexus Point: 6-7 Coins used. Legs, shoulders, gloves, cloak, staff, ring

So we’ve got 8-10 coins left and need head a head, wrists, and 2 trinkets. We also still need to fit in two crafted pieces. So probably wrists and drop the cloak from nexus point.

Leaves us needing 3 slots. All 3 can come from windrunner, replacing trinkets with raid loot later (Or using the one from sporefall that’s fine but not bis).

You’re arguing with an AOTC player that has only has resil 12s finished. The most recent key completion I could see on that alt is a 3 they ran 3 days ago.

This person is putting in, at most, a cursory level of engagement with endgame content and is then declaring it’s the game’s fault he has no gear.

You can spam bonus rolls on 10s to get myth track items, and a significant portion of mythic Voidspire as well as both Rotmire and Chimaerus are puggable. Dude is creating his own problem and coping about it.

For an argument you need both parties to acknowledge each other.

When did I declare the game is at fault for having no gear? Who is creating a problem and coping? What are you talking about?

Also you had to deep dive on me because I made a factual statement and no one has yet to prove that statement wrong, not even you, you just kinda keep dancing around it with weird mental gymnastics, like a No True Scotsman fallacy in there. Apparently it’s not hard to get the stats you want because I only play the game a cursory amount?

Buddy I have 7 level 90s, saying I don’t play the game is as ignorant as you can get.

(Also very cowardly coming from someone with a hidden profile. Could you be any more cowardly lmao.)

I had vers on my weapon when I timed 20s and killed Mythic L’ura, honestly not sure how I managed!

Getting my BIS weapon was like +125 dps
