My apology to the Horde (8.2.5 spoilers)

I’m going to throw you into a microwave, toad boy.

Well… whatever rocks your boat, I guess, but I hope you at least asked the owner of the apartment first!

Well for me…there aren’t a whole lot of interesting Alliance characters and yeah that’s Blizzard’s fault.

I don’t really care about Night Elves because they are portrayed horribly in-game and have been since WoW came out. They are supposed to be brutal amazons, badass and feral but you get an idle tiddy bounce…sorry but you’ve been relegated to T&A and your faction leader hearths away while her citizens burn alive.

Gnomes have no notable characters outside of Gelbin

Humans would be interesting if there were more intrigue or machinations among the nobles or subfactions displeased/ hobos rising up again or something. Anduin is whiny and weak. I’m still waiting for him to take off his gloves and do something other than whine.

Greymane I like and I would have been keen on seeing him defect more from the Alliance regarding Sylvanas and the Forsaken.

Jaina started off strong but again wants peace and to “break the cycle” because reasons.

I’d post more and sorry this is a little disjointed but watching today’s news and distracted by that.

See, to me all of these problems are related to the lack of attention that Alliance races get. They don’t get the same kind of screen time (except humans) and so none of this stuff is developed. None of it changes. None of it ever becomes better.

If you were to say, “well it’s Blizzard so of course it will never get better” like… You Aren’t Wrong, but it never has a chance if they don’t even try.

I’ll support Jaina’s recent development more with her ‘wants peace’ now on the condition that the next members of horde -and- alliance who try to ruin it get harshly clapped in public.

And even when humans get attention (and they get the lion’s share of it) they’re still boring generic European-y knights and nobles.

Just look at Velen, who more closely resembled a tree for like three straight expansions before we saw him do literally anything with personality in Legion.

So the difference between you and Blizzard is you understand whose fault it is. Hey, have you ever applied to work there? Clearly you’re overqualified!

That’s not fair. Chonga can also use contractions, which is more than I can say for one person writing a bunch of the quest text blurbs at Blizzard.

I really hate that guy

Given what comes after those knights Kaz…

Yeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah, wouldn’t be much room for Alliance to remain the good guys in modern standards.

Speaking of contractions, I should play my DK soon. Her due date is coming up.

See this is why I love GW2. No stupid faction war to try (and fail) to balance, so they can actually develop their NPCs into interesting people.

wait, is there an issue with contractions in the quest text that I didn’t no–

leave.

There’s one very specific style of writing for certain quests that sticks out like a sore thumb. Regardless of any context or scenario, they always write in this overly-prose laden tone like it’s some haughty noble from Lord of the Rings speaking to the huddled masses in the most generic “smart people speak prim and proper” style.

Which doesn’t really fit when the person giving you the quest is a gilgoblin.

I feel like I vaguely recognize what you’re talking about, but I can’t recall anything specific.

I’d be lion if I said it wasn’t enjoyable

It’s absolutely maddening once you really start to notice it.
