My apology to the Horde (8.2.5 spoilers)

That some of you take the game to unhealthy degrees of srs bsns.

It’s just someone’s alt account because they’re afraid to post their “”“opinion”"" and get criticism for it on a name we’d recognize. You know how it goes.

Really not sure why Alliance mains want more spotlight.

Yall have seen how Blizzard handles it. Give it like, next expac and Admiral Rogers will be leading Alliance, humans will be goosestepping and Nelves will still be getting refused a place in the story unless it’s to be victims. This time they’d likely just be getting expelled from SW for being ‘freeloaders’ and ‘lesser peoples’

It costs literally zero dollars to post here, and exactly the length of the time it takes someone to post is the maximum it’ll ever cost them

literally shut up fool

Is it? I’m (now, anyway) a primarily Alliance player who mulled things over and realized that pretty much everything the Horde has done this expac has been pointless, and I thought I’d comment on how much that sucks. Because it does, and I don’t think it’s fair.

And I needed to burn time while I was at work because it was slow.

The story change I want from Blizzard’s current approach is for someone other than Blizzard to do it.

Maybe we could petition them to subcontract their writing department to another modern studio that produces good stories, like… checks notes …any of them?

to fire the current writing team? yes i agree

We know it’s crappy. We know the Horde got it bad. But we also know this is the same kind of crap the Alliance has been getting for a decade. You and I have argued this at length with weird nerds who think they’re orc warriors irl.

We also know Blizzard can’t (or won’t) let the factions share the spotlight. They’ll only give attention to one at at time.

That’s how it has always been.

Bruh, this thread has 8.25 spoilers in it. Nobody gave a warning for 9.25 spoilers

I wasn’t talking about how often people post here. I’m talking about how some people are obviously having visceral, emotional responses to a cartoon video game with the narrative nuance of a puppet show lmao

This is kind of a weird thing to say when we just got Zandalar and pretty much everyone agrees that it was really cool for Trolls, who are typically ignored except for standing around as designated Orc Friends.

I can’t blame a lot of the Alliance races for being jealous even if the overarching story is still a nightmare.

Then it needs to change. Or they should just merge the factions and be done with it.

That’s actually kind of unfair of me, the writing team is fine. The devs just need to let them handle the writing. Ion, Afrasiabi and Danuser wouldn’t know a badly-handled story if it tanked their subscriber base. This is an empirical fact.

What are the best written games in the past 10 years

i could tell Golden wrote the dialog for the “for azeroth” cutscene because it actually seemed like a conversation rather than the sort of thing wrestlers yell at each other before a match in the WWE

No one’s falling for this and everyone thinks you’re dumb. To quote an old friend,

I’d actually support having this expac end on a supremely dark note with Rogers, Genn and Tyrande taking over the Alliance to begin transforming it into a dictatorship to show just how easily a poorly designed peace treaty can change a culture.

So I’m not allowed to comment on it?

See, I’d rather they change that than accept that that’s how it’s always going to be.

And I’m content staying unsubbed until they learn to tell a better, more balanced story.

Yes, yes, I quite agree.
