Mutilate needs a Nerf, it is beyond broken in PVP

People just dont play rogue and then come here to talk nonsense. That guy saying 5s doesnt even know kidney shot is 6s at rank 2 which we have now. Also combat potency would most likely tick at least once if not twice. And yeah people do play seal fate in pvp. Only the elitist rogues or those trying to emulate them are going sub still. When i play assassination in pvp i can delete some classes in a cheap shot let alone a kidney. Plate tanks and warlocks are even getting deleted in a stun with my rogue. Oh prep is so good please take it and lose all your damage just so you can refesh cds every 10 mins. Oh btw you can talent swap and use prep and go back in the open world but not bgs

Someone said we’re basically WotlK rogues minus the defensives and I kinda think so and by that I mean in Wrath Rogues either went Assass for Mut spam or Combat for Killing Spree after they were BiS. Both of these destroyed people in 2v2 arena, you did not need to be Sub by any stretch of the imagination.

Yup. Nerves of Steel, Blade Twisting, Imp Kick, Imp Sprint, Killing Spree, ranged interrupt, all deep Combat. Perfect for 2v2.

At 1600, sure. Combat was always the easiest to survive against. Mutilate was a lot scarier. Sub you just die, as a priest at least. Get CCd to death while not being able to get away.

Combat was probably a meme, but Mut was definitely a thing in 2v2.

Oh 100%. If you didn’t respect muti and tried to facetank them you just died, even as a plate wearer.

But please show us how your rogue is deleting people.

I don’t chug teas and I am obliterating everyone and every class in world pvp and its not even close.

Thing is, I’m not saying you’re not deleting a clothie, but there is a HUGE amount of exaggeration going on.

I have been playing rogue since OG classic. If you’re not wrecking everyone then you’re doing something wrong.

Wrong build, wrong runes I dunno. The only thing that has a chance of living longer than 8 seconds is a Pala with bubble.

Every class (except melee hunters) wants to nerf the other class, the problem here isn’t a single class, EVERY class is overtuned damage-wise, I think thats sort of the point when you add new abilities in without any resilience, we saw the same thing in prepatch Wrath.

So far the only things I’ve seen was from pshero deleting a clothie at 1100 HP.

Do you even pvp then? Or are you just blind.

I kill boomies in chicken form before stuns up all day every day.

I actually prefer bgs because at least you can use some of your toolkit with the stam buffs. World pvp right now as rogue is not really fun imo. It is so incredibly easy to kill people in open world.

Tell you what, I’m going to be devil’s advocate here.

How should they nerf rogues, and what will be the outcome.

Nerf mutilate dmg a bit and give them a solid defensive. You die fast asf on rogue in group pvp.

Cloak as a rune maybe. Reduce cds on evasion and vanish. They could do all kinds of things to balance rogue out

Except they won’t do that because we have been asking for it whole time.

Very unlikely to be a cloak rune since the previewed Bloodfang tier set had a cloak of shadows built in. (Yes they’re subject to change)

If anything they’d add it onto a reworked 60 pvp set, since that’s where it would make the most sense to go.

remember the heal rogues used to have that was a combo point spender? recuperate? something like that work?

I mean, if mutilate gets nerfed, I’d want a buff of an equal calibre to envenom/evis to make up for it. Also rupture and garrote need to be tuned up as atm you get more damage just hitting evis/envenom. The idea is that rupture is supposed to do more than evis over the span of 16 sec, it should do more damage but less bursty. This would also encourage better players to run carnage over cut, as it would be a dps increase in exchange for having to hit more buttons in a fight.

I’m all for getting rid of this braindead playstyle, as long as it doesn’t compromise my raid dps. Since that’s the only thing getting us invited into raids atm.

Also revert the saber slash nerf from p1 back to 130%. Maybe give it better dot scaling as well.
