Must see for players and devs alike

The people ‘supporting’ the covenant restrictions didn’t do that because they liked the restrictions or liked the idea of ‘choices’.

They just liked the covenant restrictions because raiders hated them, and they hate raiders.

Which is the dumbest reason to support anything that I’ve ever heard. And a reason blizzard should ignore players like this when making decisions.

In IT, when my boss asks me to go over end-user feedback for a system we developed, its my job to decipher what feedback is useful and what isn’t. I feel like that’s a step blizzard doesn’t have, or if they do, its not used effectively.

spot on.
people don’t know how to play/what to do/what to like/how to feel, if someone isn’t telling them.

You don’t need a guide to tell you when an ability is useless.

I didn’t need a guide to tell me that Fallen Order, the Monk Venthyr class ability - which has NO TANKING COMPONENT while the other 3 covenant abilities do - was a useless ability for Brewmasters.

The only thing Fallen Order does is damage, but it does less damage than something like Weapons of Order (Kyrian) and has a longer cooldown.

The problem with this statement is that if there is an opinion to be had, someone already has it. You assume I got my opinion that covenants were poorly implemented because of a video I saw, when that simply wasn’t true. Most people aren’t just “sheep”.

In terms of player skill, the game is 100% figured out. Doing anything other than what the top players detail in their guides is literally playing worse on purpose. It stinks that the game is figured out like that, but that’s the reality.

faulting players for wanting to learn how to play their characters effectively is just stupid.

The tldr is a statement made that both supports his view and is consistent with the video topic.

I see no issue here because he did not just post a video and not say anything about it. If it was just a video + “/10characters” then it would be blatant advertisement.

Side note: I watched the video, that tldr statement is not at all fully explaining what the video is about. The video has a main point which is consistent with the tldr but the examples used are not consistent with the tldr. So he clearly made a statement that could have been organized better but was a statement nonetheless.

He posted a video and posted how he interpreted it and how its consistent with his views. More can always be said but his statement is still written.

This is such a dumb take imo, obviously he just shares the opinion of the video, which a lot of the community does. Why write a novel when someone has already made a video. If you care to watch it, do so, if you don’t care to watch it, don’t.

Also, flagged for advertising? Blizzard has the ability to integrate videos into a forum post, your report is false. A side note, I hardly doubt that Preach needs a shoutout on the WoW forums.

Yall gotta stop false reporting people for something you disagree with.

Ah well its a good thing this topic title isn’t something like

“Hey watch this video!”

It’s not a meaningful choice if you can go back and change it immediately.

There’s nothing wrong with posting a prompt for discussion.

Discussion is fine, and the OP has made some fine posts later in the thread. He just should have led with those.

Note that NOBODY is talking about whatever was said in the video. It was just a pointless addition. The forum needs more actual discussion, and less “everybody go watch this video”.

That’s the point of the video…To promote discussion.

Why not just state your opinion then. Why would you need to ‘have backup’ to lend it more weight?

And exactly what are people discussing now. The content of the video or the fact that people just plunk those videos down and end of story for them.

I honestly can’t stand when ppl like this post whenever someone posts a content creators vids. Like do you honestly think this person has no brain at all? Yall are just haters.

You really need to find another thing to say. That comment is said so often, you are as bad or worse for 2 reasons.

1: You are parroting the same thing so many others say. (Sounds familiar, right?)

2: You add nothing to a conversation. You end up looking like someone that is attention seeking. Seek help.

I think he means just ignore the video, a waste of time. I agree with him.

I think you should have said this in your OP. I mean, I get it when you want to highlight something that says exactly what you wanted to say. But you could have still added a line (or four) in your own words what “meaningful choice” means to you. Even better, you could have put your opinion of what Blizz could do to improve things. So what if it echoes the video? Use your own words to emphasize the point.

Now, it’s fine if you’ve said these things elsewhere (other threads, later in this one), but people click on the thread and read the first post. If it doesn’t have your own words making the point you want to make, they’re going to flag it because they didn’t come here to watch a video.

You said that better than me that’s for sure. Exactly what I was thinking. That type of behavior is why this community is such crap
