I randomly get invs from players to run dungeons all of the time. Sometimes I’m mid quest line and it’s annoying. I have the opposite problem where I always have a group to dungeon with. I’ve done dozens upon dozens already, full dungeon geared to the teeth.

Except there’s clearly a shortage of tanks on their server so instead of being attentive, playing the game and making friends - OP just sits in a queue behind 50 other dps waiting for a tank.

I’d rather try my luck with LFG and snag a tank rather than wait behind a bunch of people too lazy to put some effort into forming a group.

I see where you’re coming from. But on the flip side I completely get their point of view as well. What’s worse is he’s plate, and I know for a fact that some tanks have passed on plate DPS so they can get their arms/fury, ret, or Frost/unholy off spec gear too.

Like I said, I can see the point of both sides of the argument. I’m just glad I’m a tank and my wife is a healer so we don’t ever have to worry about it at all.

Blizzard do nothing to encourage tanking as levelling, apart from dungeons there is no tanking gear.

Im refering to +Def,Sbv etc, you dont see any quest rewards with this.

Tanks:
“Yay i’ve got to 80 got my key im ready for heroics”.
Blizzard: “Sorry son get to your 540 minimum def cap through all these crap normals”

Dps:
“Yay i’ve got o 80 got my key im ready for heroics”.
Blizzard: You go for it.

I haven’t been able to run a 5 man in 3 days.

Been in multiple groups that have formed, heals and 3 DPS. Waited 30+ minutes, everyone spamming, no bites.

“Deerrrrr join a guild” is not an answer.

how is rdf gonna fix the fact that no one wants to tank your instance?

How will it? Why would we bother running dungeons that we don’t need or have purpose doing? We already done so now no we wont be in que for lfd.

“That does nothing for my iLvL” types will always drop out.

The types that enjoy running dungeons. They types that enjoy playing with others.
The types that want to farm for materials.

Those types would have a more effective tool for doing so.

I exclusively play tank and I recently came back for wrath since I missed it the first time.

Buuuuut, I’m kinda used to RDF. Don’t get me wrong. I used to pug raids in Mists and warlords. Wound up leading since I got tired of people demanding the achieve for a chance. So I’ve been on the other side of spamming chat for folks.

But I don’t want to do that.

I just wanna go chain some dungeons for a couple hours until I log off. Maybe I’m
Lazy. But I have not really played wrath except for the DK mount and that’s a big reason.

Maybe I’ll give it a swing once I get this character ready for the next expansion

Hello, I have a tank spec… If RDF was added, I would queue as tank for rewards so yea - it would spawn me into a Tank. Idk man, seems like a lot of no life DPS here got to the top and dont wanna wait for parties/gatekeep others with GS.

Of course! I don’t like racing games. If I played one, I wouldn’t have fun. You’re complaining other people won’t tank for you because it’s not fun to tank. Why wouldn’t they follow your own standards?

Blizzard isn’t going to invent some automated tank to fix your problem. Either be the solution, or stop engaging in a game you don’t enjoy. Basic life advice really…

Unfortunately, this version of wrath isn’t for players in your situation. Maybe they will add all the “lazy” features, as you call them, at the end of this expansion and ruin it again.
