Multiboxing Herbs and Nodes

Players using 5 accounts or more using 3rd party software. Why is this allowed?
I can understand duel boxing but 5 or more? They are hording the mats and inflating the auction house. Probably selling gold too. Exploiting the spirit of the game.

You forgot “ruining economy”, and “unfair advantage”.

that has always been annoying, but not because the gold they make at least not to me.
its the fact you can be standing there and doing your thing farming some mobs way out in BFE and one single guy playing 20 accounts can swoop in and you are screwed. and if its a pvp situation, 1 shot

i have multiple accounts, but i don’t do this because it gets on my nerves when i see others do it

I am sometimes left wondering what they are farming for. Whether it’s blood trolls in Nazmir or murlocs in Azsuna. Is it gold or are there special drops?

They can not be hoarding mats. If they gather materials for themselves, then every single player who gathers materials for their own potions and flasks is hoarding mats using your example.

Now inflating the AH? How? They’re just 4 extra characters, generating 4 extra amount of herbs to selling. Most of them just buy 4 tokens to pay for those 4 extra characters. So they need to put the money back into the accounts.

Honestly it’s like investing at this point for most multiboxers. They start off with 1 account and make a boat load of gold. They invest said gold into more accounts and make more gold and then keep going.

People do this with stock. Look at Warren Buffet. He bought coke shares. His coke shares make him money to buy more coke shares. It keeps compounding. This is exactly what multiboxers are doing.

With the introduction of the wow token, you can do it too. There is no financial barrier to entry any more. You can go make a boat load of gold and then buy more WoW accounts and do that exact same thing.

that was a lot put into that reply, im guessing you multibox. not that i care…if you do, and you see me, could you not steal my spot please? lol

I don’t multibox anymore. I’m just saying most of the multiboxers now are people who use WoW tokens to buy the accounts. They’re the result of the WoW token.

was a joke really…i don’t care what anyone does. just a game

Don’t really want to be part of the problem. Thanks for the tip. I would rather have everyone go by and hit the herb up. I am not a rocket scientist but I think blizzard designed the current system so everyone can spend less time gathering mats.
People exploiting it so they can run a digital economy… Personally would rather spend my time in the real economy. This is a game not real life.

They are exploiting the game design to maintain an unfair advantage over other players.

Blizz says its fine, fairness is apparently overrated, and if other players want to compete they can buy multiple accounts and multiplex their way to riches as well.

And that’s really all there is to it. There is a way to purchase power in the game and you can do it if you want.

And that’s the spirit of the game.

That is very presumptuous of you

So we are back to this.
We came down from weekly to day in day out of the same topics.
And assumptions, and worse, personal views over other people.

Good that Blizzard dont pat whining on the back.

There is a mount that drops from certain trolls in Nazmir. The murlocs I’m not sure about … maybe it’s just revenge for all the deaths murlocs have caused over the years

I think the multiboxing herbs is only an issue when it’s something of limited quantity in a small area to begin with, like Zin’anthid (which is probably what prompted this post). Lately, it has been hard to find many nodes even when you see a multiboxer and head in the opposite direction. I’ve just stopped bothering to look for them actively and have focused on anchor weeds instead

there is a financial barrier, you need more powerful computers to handle that many chars.

Multiboxing is a non-issue already. Blizzard made their stance clear.

Creating many topics with the exact same arguments will not change their minds.

Maybe coming up with new arguments might be better.

Because anyone that reads the ToS and somehow thinks that ALL 3rd-party software is forbidden, is reading it wrong.

Because Blizzard decided, before the game went live, that MBoxing would be allowed.

Because they are the makers of the game and therefore make the rules of said game.

So, all multiboxers are bad…that’s what you’re saying? And great, honest, hard working, squeaky clean players like yourself feel the need to label the whole lot as scum. Hitler much?

Players using their account anonymity to try and shame/slander/harass other players using an allowed playstyle. Why is that allowed?

How is one person playing 5 accounts at once any different from 5 different people playing together?

Well, as long as the one person playing 5-accounts boxes within the rule/automation boundaries set by Blizzard. Nothing.

INB4 someone says:

“cuz their using 3rd party programs” - (re-read the ToS, while there are restrictions to 3rdPP, they ARE allowed)

“cuz that’s just one person, getting the rewards for five accounts” - yeah, and he’s also paying for all those accounts in one way or another (be it cash, gold, or upgrades to the rig(s)).

“cuz five normal players couldn’t do that” - yes, normal players are capable of coordination, strategy, and rofl-stomping. Boxers find that easy, since there’s no time needed for a democratic debate or to see whose inflated ego needs to go first.

Is there really anymore reason to beat this dead horse?

How is five people getting 1 dollar different from you getting five dollars?

It is a little different isn’t it.
