You as a player cannot no matter how strong you think your sherlock skills are. Static farming that allows you to stay stationary and spam press a button while watching netflix will look like botting to you, when it isnt.
Oh really, then why are there still bots ingame then? If they was autobanned, the botting situation would be totally non-existent. Everyone would be silenced and we would hear non-stop about multiboxers being banned.
because they make new accounts when the old ones are banned. New botters are using druids that will automatically pop cat form and stealth so that people cant target them to report.
Sounds like you are pushing a botter agenda too, don’t like me reporting your compatriots?
And? You NEED software even if you’re playing a single account. Just how do you think your computer knows how to work with your keyboard, mouse, and monitor?
If you report them, and they go away, that means they were bots. If they were multiboxers, the GM would just shrug and move on to the next ticket.
Personally I dont care if people report what they feel is botting. Simply reporting people because they are multiboxers is pure cancer and needs to stop. I talk in chat the entire time, and offer help to people nearby. Being pro boxer does not = being pro botter
- All botters multibox.
- Not all multiboxers bot.
because when you play on one client that client is the active window. you hit a key and whatever that key is bound too, happens. If you have 2 monitors and have wow in 1 full screen and your browser in a second, you move the mouse untill the arrow is over the browser then click a mouse button. Now if you hit a key nothing will happen in the game because its no longer the active window. I mean you try to act smart but you seem to have no idea about how a computer works. lol
People have this false idea of how reports are handled. There is no longer GM’s that look at players and ban them. it is 100% automated based on a threshold of reports. The only time a human will look over it is during the appeal process. You can verify this because the email you get from players reporting you does not involve a GM tag or name.
I mean you try to act smart but you seem to have no idea about how a computer works.
Irony.
You need software for your keyboard to work.
You need software for your mouse to work.
You need software for your monitor to work.
Why is it suddenly bad to need software to multibox?
Simply reporting people because they are multiboxers is pure cancer and needs to stop.
I don’t report for multiboxing, I report bots when I see them, and yes, I know the difference.
if you have 2 clients running
You’re multiboxing.
you can only even have 1 as the main active client
Even with multiboxing software, you only have one window active.
no one does it like that.
Well I’m sure that’s not true, but neither of us can prove it.
It NEEDS software no matter how generic.
No, it doesn’t.
Explain how you know the difference? On the outside a boxer and a botter will look identical if its a stationary farm. Claiming you “know the difference” between the two is like claiming you have a superpower. You dont.
You know what? When I get a message from a GM in game telling me to stop or If I get suspended for false reporting, I’ll make sure to make a post on the forums about it. I’m a man of my word.
On the outside a boxer and a botter will look identical if its a stationary farm.
A botter will repeat their actions with mechanical precision. A multiboxer will be obviously human. They’ll make mistakes. They’ll move on a whim. They’ll take a break. The difference between a program and a human is pretty obvious if you look for a short while.
I mean, if it was impossible to tell the difference, then multiboxers would be getting banned left and right since not even the GMs would be able to discern them from botters.
Pretty much this, and they don’t stay in one spot for several days…
There is no longer GM’s that look at players and ban them. it is 100% automated based on a threshold of reports.
This couldn’t be further from the truth, but you clearly have an agenda to spread false information.
A Squelch is the only automated type of account action and even those are flagged to be reviewed by a GM.
There are no auto-bans/suspensions.
- you dont move at a stationary farm.
- its true that botters move with a precision, however most programs will incorporate a random delay to avoid detection from warden. This also begs the question of how YOU as a player are detecting these differences in times. You cant. You dont have access to log files.
- Multiboxers are getting banned alot from the auto ban feature, its all over reddit and discord. They are appealing and getting accounts back, but it is still happening.
see i’ll just qualify, and I believe this is worthy of a separate post. I actually am not some sort of anti multibox hater. That is, except for the current trend lately of horde (and ally) multibox swarms sitting in quest choke points farming all the mobs to such a point they are rendering gameplay near if not actually impossible.
The ones engaging in that sort of behaviour do need to be dealt with as they actually are a negative impact on the game with no means of stopping them. Blizzard has to act either by giving a better means of reporting such zone disruption and acting on valid reports or by letting mass aoe flag players into pvp again so the playerbase can take matters into their own hands. And hey if these are legit pro boxers they can easily handle the odd loner trying to clear them out for an alt to level
Really? You cannot discern a group of botters from a multiboxer?
Most people can’t actually discern the difference. In fact, many people assume its all the same thing.
