Multiboxing = Cheating

This one was posted this morning…

Yea, you’re not allowed to play on a remote server or a VM since the host or remote party could be botting and trying to bypass Warden Bot detection.

He wasn’t banned because of multiboxing. But because he broke a rule.

PEople should read the old Blue’s explaining about multiboxing BUT…

I will concede something as a multiboxer myself. Some QOL changes since 2008 have made Multiboxing Easier to handle which looks like an unfair advantage. (multitap node, share loot on mobs, faster respawn, account-wide progress)

It’ll never be banned unfortunately. I can’t even level my alchemist, as I need to harvest more zin’athid, but groups of 5-10 synchronized druids descend on the node and exhaust it.

Since they are paying for multiple accounts it’s easier to turn a blind eye to the harm they cause.

Zin’athed should be quite cheap on the AH now. Everybody is dumping inventory. You are a bit late to level alchemy this close to the end of an expansion.

You’re doing it wrong. Go get gold else where (more easily) and buy the herbs from AH.

Lol so basically those 2 are telling you that only mboxers can herb now.
Everyone else go AH and buy.

Of course, heaven forbid these should get in the way of your game play.

I see the bot brigade is still pushing their agenda…

More like herbing is a waste of time outside the first 2 weeks of an expansion.

Also Blizzard has a limit of 3 battle.net account per person. Technically limiting multiboxing to 24. But this doesn’t seem to be enforced…

That is true.

Powerlevelling for gold payment is not enforced either.

You mean boosting? Blizzard has said it’s fine but not supported, like Multiboxing.

No it is not, it is written in ToS clearly.

License Limitations. Blizzard may suspend or revoke your license to use the Platform, or parts, components and/or single features thereof, if you violate, or assist others in violating, the license limitations set forth below. You agree that you will not, in whole or in part or under any circumstances, do the following:

“…(iii) performing in-game services including, without limitation, account boosting or power-leveling, in exchange for payment;…”

ah here we go…more rules lawyering…

Just illustrating a point that Blizzard does not care.

Keep your pants on.

cheat

/CHēt/

verb

gerund or present participle: cheating

act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, especially in a game or examination

I mean, Multi-boxing even fits perfectly with the actual definition of cheating lol.

I put it to him this way Grumbles.

“Total logic right here. I support a woman’s right to marry another woman but I’m neither a woman or would I personal be in a same sex marriage.”

He ignored it because it completely destroys his statement.

Using this - rogues would all be cheating then since vanish, stealth and stuns are used unfairly to gain advantage. So we should ban all rogues who use these abilities right? And shaman since a self rez is obviously unfair.

Then there is the support article that says it’s not.

Might as well just delete the whole game then. Since its full of unfair cheating, right?
