Multiboxing and Herbalism

Afaik node lets you gather it for x seconds of time after the first time it gets clicked. So whether 1 or 5 or 40 players click at once, if you arrive after that x amount of seconds, you get nothing.

Hmm a bad argument from the pro Multi-boxers…I’m sensing a theme here.

I love these threads…I am crying because I can’t price gouge my herbs!

I just was wondering, how would you folks dealt with the multi-tap mining nodes as they used to be?

Would that grill your sandwich?

If people that are fine with muliboxing haven’t gotten through to you yet, then why should I try to break that thick headed arrogance you’re putting on for display?

Honest question, have you read many of the other MBing threads? I know you were on at least one other (I don’t pay a lot of attention to who posts often)… So I assume you’ve been on more than that. Have none of the proMBers gotten through to you? Or are you just completely stuck on your feeling that it’s bad and should be removed? If it’s the latter, then yeah, you’re not worth talking to, because the other proMB posters have made far better points that I have, whereas, I add a little to what they’ve said, along with some other smaller points.

Seriously?

I think your just pulling my leg but I’ll bite.

Probably because it’s difficult to enforce and they don’t want to spend the resources combating it, it makes them money, and there are probably blizzard employees that enjoy multi boxing.

Your idea of how a business works is quite flawed. If you use the argument that you are, you must realize that invalidates the player base, their source of revenue.

Just because blizzard allows something doesn’t mean I have to like it, and my dollar is worth as much as your dollar so I’m gonna keep screeching as much as I please.

#multiboxingislame

There are mboxers that I like, for example the guy who mbox for unsoloable achievements, the mboxer just so his children do not have to party with strangers, the mboxer who have a druid as his epic mount etc.

IMHO, we can see a lot of anti mboxers coming here to vent, thread after thread.

We also know that mboxing is never gonna be banned.

Just let them vent. Coming in with bad arguments like “having a node tapped by a mboxer w 8 accts is same as having eight person tap it.” Try queuing up for tickets to a concert and have the guy in front buy all 100 seats out and offer to resell you. Yea, it’s the same as having 100 guys in front of you.

Or “Vanilla was one Tap. How did people herb?”
Well vanilla had a small fraction of the current population. Why did blizzard implemented the multi tap node mechanism?

These arguments show ignorance. The very thing promboxers accuse anti mboxers of.

I myself read a few and all argument I’ve seen is that blizzard allows it so we’re all good and nobody even approached the pros of allowing it to begin with. Cause all the non boxers see is getting ganged in pvp at worst or flooding the market with gold and mats.

How do we know multiboxing will never get banned?

In the same post you give an example of a change blizzard made.

So we can hope!

#multiboxing is lame

We know because no one can provide a valid reason for removal.

There are plenty of good and valid reasons, even posted here.

No valid ones.

It’s so not the same and is the main reason why so many ticket booths now enforce a limit per customers…

Yes there are. Plenty.

Yeah. I mean, I do feel for the people that get screwed over by it… but to me, there are workarounds that people just don’t embrace.

Yeah, I don’t like something so remove it! It is the same comedy every spammed thread about it.

Im just curious if folks will be happy with paying more for their potions for raids as a result of boxers going away?

Boxers are one of the reasons your stuff is so cheap. You complain about multiboxers, but then if they’re gone, your prices are jacked up.

Businesses do what they need to do to make money. Blizzard previously had little surveys as to why customers left. If not enough people are leaving because of multiboxers, there is no reason to ban them. And if people who are complaining about multiboxers aren’t leaving, it’s really a non-issue for them. They still get your money so they have no incentive to change their policy.

They changed their policy about multiboxers in the past. They removed /follow from BGs a few years ago. Multiboxers went ballistic. They made threads threatening to close their X amount of accounts. In the end Blizzard didn’t care because Multiboxers don’t account for a whole lot of accounts. It’s a very niche play style.

This is not a big issue. It’s not like it was in the past where they were messing up battlegrounds where they had a bunch of exposure. Multiboxer threads now are mostly limited to folks complaining about their inability to compete in one specific profession which is herbing.

Also OPs complaint was about paying to win. Do they feel the same way about the WoW Token? Isn’t that pay to win too?

Yep, this I agree. I dropped herb alchemy and went skinning leatherworking.

No, that’s not what anyone here has said. They have given many reasons, and that is not one.

No, they haven’t given any valid reasons, but I am still waiting.

I can’t sell herbs at a high price…
