M+/Raider Insecurity

There’s another poster who shows up and pops off but two is hardly a flock.

Coordinated group play? Are you joking?

Where are these people, exactly

one guy named arcturax certainly doesnt represent the m+/raider community

for me personally i dont think about it much at all, but tbh im glad for anyone in the game to get whatever. it doesnt affect me at all imho

From a vocal minority at best, this topic wasn’t necessary.

Guess this is what caused the OP to create this title.

Huh? Didn’t know you could do m+ and mythic raids by yourself.

When did they add that

IDK really why somebody would even care about it.

Delves may be easier, but very inneficient way to obtain Mythic grade gear. You don’t even have proper/good itemization just relying on that.

Is that just about bragging rights of mythic appearances? It’s funny because those are very accessible come the following expansion, there are groups doing it all the time.

No, I don’t see many players very bothered by delves.

Instead I usually see delve players specifically drawing in players who find delves easy to accuse them of being insecure elitist gatekeepers.

They usually make threads that look like this one.

idk i think its mostly that the gear rewards dont really match the difficulty since delves are laughably easy

What are you hoping to accomplish with this topic? Did we really need another one?

I get that it upsets you that literally four people–that’s it, four–on this forum consistently state the opinion that delves are too easy for the gear they provide (They play this game, too, and they are allowed to have opinions about it).

If one piece of mythic crafted gear every two weeks, two pieces of heroic gear you can turn into tier every week, and guaranteed champion gear at the end of every single bountiful delve you complete–not to mention the unique cosmetics, pets, toys, and seasonal mount–are not enough to make you feel fairly compensated for the content, then as a fellow solo delve enthusiast, I don’t know what on earth anyone could say.

This thread was absolutely unnecessary and uncalled for.

I’m sorry that a literal handful of people who visit these forums disagree with you, but the rabid obsession with constantly hounding the subject into the ground is really exhausting.

Have a coffee. Run a delve. Get your dopamine hits from something positive, for crying out loud.

Edited to Add:

As a delver and alt enthusiast who also runs M+ and raids…I’ve listened to just about all I’m gonna hear from threads like this about how horrible and elitist everyone who plays group content is.

Dude, my guild leader and I spend hours coordinating and organizing so that every week, 15-22 people we thoroughly enjoy spending time with in this video game have everything they need to raid. The boss fights in that raid require a level of time investment, attention, and execution that delves do not even come close to approaching, and that’s only heroic.

Compared to having five people run through a M7-M9 key without making too many mistakes to beat the timer, a T11 delve is a walk on the beach. I can get up in the middle of a delve and go afk to make coffee or call my husband and chat if I want to. You have got to be kidding.

I get so much more gear from delves than I do from either of those other forms of content. I don’t play them because I’m an evil elitist out to keep you from having a good time. I play them because I like playing video games with my friends and my guildmates.

Pretty much every single person in my guild runs delves every week, just like I do. We find them fun. We love that they are another pool for loot that we can dip into. We could not possibly be convinced to care less that solo delvers get more gear than we do because it’s not like we can’t go in there and get it, too.

You (and others who make OPs just. like. this one) have taken the pushback from a tiny number of forum posters and made up this whole fantasy of an oppressive class of tyrants who conspire to keep people who don’t play the game our way from having nice things and it’s frankly the kind of emotionally incontinent crap I used to send my kid to her room to calm down about. Just…for the love of all that is good and glittery in this world…stop it.

Lord, I apologize for my venting of feminine emotionality. I am perimenopausal and sleep-deprived and my vault gave me nothing but a socket today. Thank you for coming to my Ted Talk

Still doesn’t make sense… like even if takes forever to get something Mythic with Delves (you’d still need either hero gear to upgrade or sparks and mats to commission one), this means more people “not undergeared” whenever they decide to pug M+ or raiding. :person_shrugging:

you can be mythic geared and people still arnt going to take you into raid or m+ without exp to back up your gear

Oh, I wanted to say entry level things like M0-3 or Normal raiding.

I mean, they are. That’s the point.

Meh, as long as the loot is appropiate to the difficulty it’s obtained from it doesn’t matter what game mode rewards what. You may as well have myth track loot rewarded from herbing, just make it challenging enough to rival mythic raiding.

What’s with all the insecurity coming from delvers?

They see someone else get something and complain until they get it too.

So insecure.

This thread is more aggressive than anything the OP is actually complaining about.

whoever youre talking about must be trolling. delves last 2 weeks in a season then it’s obsolete. even the vault…

nothing burger.

Is it gatekeeping if someone thinks LFR shouldn’t drop Mythic loot?

People like the OP make the delver community look bad. Someone in another topic said they would have to make it more difficult to reward myth track and they took offense.

Something something you play the game in a way I don’t approve therefore you shouldn’t have gear equal to mine something something.

I’ve seriously seen raiders try to make the argument that casuals getting raid level gear from sources other than raiding affects them because those casuals will start to take real raiders spots in raids because the casuals have a higher iLvl.

Never really seem anything from the M+ community bad mouthing Delves. Probably because people that enjoy M+ just want to be left alone and enjoy their preferred game mode. Like people who do Delves.

But Delves are fine, especially to get alts caught up on gearing. I have 3 alts I’m planning to run through Delves to get caught up on gear and it’ll be the easiest way to do it, which I’m grateful for.
