Possibly silly question, but should I install wow on my new PC before or after I transfer all my data over from my old pc’s hard drive? Thinking in terms of trying to keep my UI and addons in tact.
I always just copied the entire WoW folder - programs and all - over to the new PC. Then installed a launcher.
If you are on a windows machine, check the program data folder to make sure there is no WoW stuff stashed in there.
Might be a little late, but i recently put WoW on a new PC. I installed WoW normally on my new PC and just copied the WTF/Interface/Cache folders and had no issues.
I just used Google Drive to transfer them all in a zip folder and pasted them into my new wow _retail folder
