Moving the Kaldorei off Kalimdor completes the Horde's attempt at genocide instead of safeguarding against it

Well, yes, that is the story. With my only nit-pick being that Teldrassil, once again, was not the only place where Night Elves lived.

If you want to argue that you don’t like the story, I think that is fine. But what you’re trying to do is push a head canon onto the rest of us that the Night Elves abandoned Kalimdor even though this appears to be untrue.

So…
Your best evidence is an absence of evidence that any Elves have resettled Northern Kalimdor?

This is all based on assumption.

We’ve gotten no indication of what happened during the time skip, so who knows.

Our last update was from seven in-lore years ago wherein they had reconquered their old holdings. We don’t know what they’ve done with it since then.

Not sure what you’re actually trying to say.

I’ll bite.

So if the refugees in Stormwind were only the refugees from Teldrassil specifically, where is the rest of their population? Can’t be Ashenvale, as I described from a summary of Elegy.

Yes I quoted the wrong post. Mithaelar was trying to say that the Worgen went to Stormwind and I was pointing out that they actually went to Darnassus

The events of Elegy happen before the narrative of the Exploring Kalimdor book, which speaks of Night Elves in Ashenvale. It also happens before the Alliance victory at darkshore. It also does not address the Night Elf populations that existed in Feralas, Stonetalon, Desolace, Hyjal, Val’Shara, etc.

Probably because it’s a quest hub and they don’t want to have a phased capital city/starting zone. They’ve never really destroyed a capital and a starting zone before Teldrassil in wow, and after the backlash to it, as they’ve said they wanted to reduce the number of capital cities, they find they need to replace a racial capital because nearly wiping out a player race didn’t go over so well.

What population? The Shen’dralar went to Darnassus and Eldre’thalas was abandoned. Feathermoon Stronghold is… just a military base.

Stonetalon

Again, what population? A few camps?

Desolace

Again, what population? Some druids trying to restore it?

Hyjal

We already know all the refugees from Hyjal have left for Amirdrassil

Val’sharah

The Dreamgrove and a few towns at most. And I have already shown evidence that NPCs from Val’sharah are now at Amirdrassil.

These descriptions are your own personal head canon. The game (which is our main source material) shows these locations being of similar size to any other town or outpost throughout Azeroth.

… the majority of the kalimdor game world is set in Catalysm and is in universe like a decade out of date.

It is the only in-game representation that we have currently. Or do your personal fantasies of these locations trump what we can see in game?

The assumption none of them have changed at all even when actual text says so is absurd lmao. Game scale as a concept is well established. Most towns of every single race are not -actually- just like 3 houses lmao BUT a ton of them changed hands / status because Cata is 10 years out of date.

Source please. Stonetalon is overwhelmingly a Horde presence.

Eldre’thalas (Dire Maul) is described as being overrun in Exploring Azeroth. and Cata directly states the Shen’dralar moved to Darnassus.

In Cata, Horde players go and pretty much wipe out the only Alliance holding in the zone, Nijel’s Point.

Citation please. What text do you have that addresses these zones? I’ve only seen Ashenvale and Darkshore referenced.

Wait so are we going by books, interviews, or in-game representation for this debate?

Look at mith’s post lmao. Exploring Kalimdor.

You’re also exaggerating how much those zones even had an NE presence. It’s not the same as somewhere like Elwynn.

Eldre’Thalas was not the main hub in Feralas. You are the one pushing your doomer head canon as fact. Why are you asking me for a source when I am just talking about how we left things in game?

Seems like another example of a Night Elf fan self-owning their own beloved race because they are so married to their victim narrative. Exploring Kalimdor did not say that these places were abandoned.

If you are just going off in-game representation Hellscream’s watch still above Astranaar in Ashenvale then? And the horde are still attacking Maestra’s post and holding Silverwind Refuge

You mean Feathermoon STRONGHOLD?
