No, make them twice as complex.
Thereās a lot of needless bloat in the combat log from talents. Our core dmg abilities would feel more meaningful without crap like Expurgation and Truthās Wake. Itās why the servers lag so bad with big raids.
There already are simple classes and more complex classes. I like the idea that both are available to those who want either type of playstyle. They probably donāt need to make classes any more complex though.
Nah. Make every class Feral and Enhancement. For funsies.
Nah, these people will never stop whining until every spec is as braindead as BM.
There are easy classes you can go play if you want easy, you donāt need everything to be easy.
Nah, dumbing down these specs/classes is a bad idea⦠maybe you should try classic if you want super simple gameplay.
No, I hope they make them more complex.
Since actual college degrees are arguably of diminishing worth, letās make some specs that require one. A wow college if you will. Or atleast 2 years of equal work experience
The issue is that those spells do effect your rotation and what you build in terms of stats. Truthās Wake with a talent encourages you to build crit with a talent (Burn to Ash) and Expurgation may be change Blade of justiceās priority in your rotation as compared to without it. It also plays into the crit part too due to same talent.
These abilities may be doing a lot of stuff in the background that you donāt think about or notice in your regular rotation and may be rewarding you for playing class well by making it feel better. Mana Cascade for Sunfurry mage is an example where the better you play the larger of a haste buff you get.
Dont get me wrong they should also be looking and seeing if there are spells that arenāt really doing anything and if they really arenāt contributing to anything they should remove them but there are many thing a specific spell may be doing that we as regular players just wont think about.
Complexity is part of the game?
Do you realize that some of the classesā openers are like wth?
Then there are billion things to track?
There should be a middle ground. And we all fell in love with ātheā wow in 2004, it was less complex but it was genuinely fun.
There is a middle ground, itās different specs having different levels of complexity.
Thereās not going to be 1 right level of complexity that satisfies everyone, so offering a broad range is the only option.
Gotta keep dumbing down for the lowest common denominators.
I hope not. Thatās part of what separates the best players from the bottom of the players who donāt want to put in the time or effort to learn and get better. Without that it gets harder to build great guilds of players to do content.
ā¦do people really believe that stating something so vague, and with no concrete suggestions for improvement or implementation, is going to be read/passed along to the devs and theyāre just going to Suddenly See the Light and say, āyes, that random poster was right, we do need to scale back complexity! Nevermind how we do that without pruning tons of abilities and the backlash weāll get for ruining everyoneās favorite specs, letās get to work!!!ā
Button bloat is different from spec to spec.
My Brewmaster has too many buttons.
My Guardian Druid doesnāt have enough.
Sorry but, your car insurance license has expired. Would you like to renew it?
Wouldnāt mind losing about 10 buttons for this spec. Not so much that it turns into Hunter/Pally faceplant the keyboard dps, but a little less complex than how it is now.
Can you be a little more specific? If you think the game is complex now, you wouldnāt have survived classic.
Yes, replace all the cool things that make classes fun to play and replace them with a big DPS button. Homogenize the classes and just call them āDPSā and āRanged DPSā
