id rather not change the sensitivity of my mousewheel for every application when the issue is merely warcraft.
but thank you for the suggestion, hopefully we get a fix from blizzard for this soon.

I really notice this when I use the mousewheel to scroll (well, not scroll because Iām doing it slowly) through my characters on the character selection screen. Does Classic also have the mousewheel issue or is it a Reail only āfeatureā?
This issue ONLY happens on my Mac and doesnāt affect my windows PC.
Itās so annoying that I stopped playing my Mac altogether and Iām back to just using my windows PC.
This still isnāt fixed and thereās no way Blizzard doesnāt know about it. I would imagine at least ONE Blizzard employee plays WoW on a mac and noticed their mouse wheel was acting strange.
Most likely not caring too much as itās on their Mac version. I have some thoughts we might see less support going forward hopefully not.
I just found out today, if you hold shift while scrolling through your transmog tabs or spellbook, etc., the mouse wheel works normally (minus holding the shift button or forgetting it because we never had to do that beforeā¦). So, for anyone tired of clickign the arrows try shift + mouse wheeling. PLEASE FIX GAME CLIENT MOUSE WHEEL ALREADY. Pretty please and thank you. <3
LinearMouse Mac from the app store fixes it for the my game client (but then scrolling through pages still makes it frustrating and oversensitive and then scrolling is too slow outside game client). At least Iām not missing my mouse wheel bindings in combat nowā¦
Other things I have tried:
I have been through multiple GM tickets and they just donāt seem to have anything other than copy/paste answers ignoring the fact that the game client for Mac users has a bug. Hereās a list of things they made me do that does NOT work:
The GMās arenāt listening. Iām over it. I have been submitting a bug report every day until it is fixed - havenāt missed one yet and I donāt intend to.
Hi
Having the same issue on my M1 MacBook Pro. Have to scroll quite a few clicks to get anything to register. One thing I have noticed is if I use the scroll wheel with a shift modifier it works normally, every step of the wheel registers a click.
Have tried multiple mice on my laptop and the issue is there with them all.
Anyone tried on 1.1.5 PTR?
If itās fixed there it means it will be fixed tomorrow when 1.1.5 goes live.
Holy cow ⦠it actually works. What the heck is going on?
I can confirm this occurs on my Mac Studio M4 Mac.
I have tried it with two different Corsair scimitar mice and happens on both mice on the Mac when playing wow (the issue doesnāt happen in any program other than Wow)
I have tried using these same two Corsair scimitar mice on my windows pc and the scroll wheel works perfectly fine in wow.
Please fix this
Right, I think shift modifier always worked for some reason though I have the same issues as without any modifiers with ALT (OPT) and CTRL.
Weird stuff and even more sad is it seems like no one cares to tell us they are even working on it lol.
Yeah noticed the same. Only the shift modifier works. All others have the same issue
3 weeks and no word from Blizzard, not even an acknowledgement of the issue.
Pretty sad lol. I guess they enjoying their luxury cars or something
Still broken⦠how has it been so long and this still seems like itās being ignored? Still submitting bug reports daily I guess.
Seem to be a bit better for me after patch. Doesnāt require that huge a scroll.
Bump. Still broke. Blizzard is ignoring us?
almost a month later and scroll is still busted
