Mouse polling rate causing major FPS drops when moving mouse

Let me just start this off by saying I am by no means a computer expert, but whenever I move my mouse (not my camera) the frame rate plummets and even freezes completely whenever i move my mouse. I tried dropping the rate down as low as possible which is a polling rate of 125 but it only yields a slight improvement.

I am currently using an Nvidia card with the latest drivers and have noticed that when i move my mouse the GPU usage drops to 0% before returning to normal after i stopped moving the mouse. I tested this out on a few other games and haven’t seen this issue happen whatsoever, so I’m starting to think it might be something going on with the game itself.

If someone knows of a solution to this I’d appreciate the help because so far i haven’t had much luck.

check in your graphics options to ensure your background fps is turned up, it might think you’re not in game and drops the frame rate to 8fps, i’d have a guess that this is because of the exclusive fullscreen that was removed. If you have windows notifications turned on it can also cause this.
