I recently got a 10+ button mouse specifically to have extra key bindings that I can use in game only to go to key bind and it’s not letting me do anything past mouse button 5. It’s like the game doesn’t recognize anything beyond mouse button 5. I mapped them to function keys, but that’s not what I want to do. This used to be a normal thing a while back. Has anyone figured this out? Using Steelseries rival 500.
Do the number buttons work normally everywhere else?
Yeah Lightwave, Maya, programs like that… WoW, nah, gotta switch mice
Does the mouse have software? Sometimes it needs set up with the software.
I’m not sure, because my Logitech just works with it and I haven’t fussed with the software. But I’ve heard tell of having to set some up in the mouse app.
I’ve noticed I’ve been having trouble with certain buttons on my G600 when playing. The buttons on that old reliable works everywhere else, but with WoW, buttons 8-10 are wonky.
Not sure it’s entirely related to your issue cuz this mouse is almost 15, but I’m putting it out there anyway.
I’m not having this issue with my G600. I’d check Ghub and make sure it’s set up correctly?
Yeah, I keep GHub updated. Pretty sure it updates itself, in fact. And I’m pretty sure that’s after I told it to stop doing that. Several times… in point of fact ![]()
Anywho, I don’t really bother with it, since I actually only use like three out of the 20 buttons on it anyway.
Hrm. That’s really weird though! I wish I understood that app more to help you out. But I barely use it. I set up colors and then stared blankly at it. Thank gawd everything worked for me. ![]()
Yeah, the RP walk button works. All that matters.
Hats off to that mouse. Feels like all of mine crap out after 3-5 years nowadays.
Yeah I’ve never really had issues with mice.
Headphones are my bane. I’m lucky if they last a year.
I have my mouse buttons set up to emulate num pad keys and make my keybinds to those.
didn’t the g600 only come out in July of 2012? 12 years young this mouse is shame they stopped making it.
If it’s anything like razer, it will have software like synapse for it to function correctly.

If it doesn’t have good software, download Microsoft Powertoys and you can reassign the mouse buttons there. As someone else mentioned, use numpad or combo keys to assign actual keys to keybind.
I get this issue because I have to use trackballs and I prefer wired, of which Logitech no longer produces and most other manufacturers have terrible software accompanying their trackballs if any at all.
