Can confirm that obtaining Into the Storm on an alt (you should only need to do 5k elemental overflow and 8 invasion rares) will grant you the mount, just got mine.
I’m in the same boat. Double checked all my achievements too just in case - everything is done, but no black scales

Just got the Salamanther in my mail as a “recovered item” but I cannot use it because its also already in my Mount tab along with all the other mounts I was missing!
Chiming in that I’m also still missing the Black Scales (and no, I’m not doing all races again for it this time lol)

Just completed the dragon riding meta and also did not receiving the black netherdrake scales. So it’s not just people who had previously completed it having this problem.
Got my Salamanther in the mail, so all 8 of the mounts have been given (counting Taivan).
I was lucky enough to have the black scales granted to me on patch day, but I know some people weren’t.
I assume it’s a similar issue to what happened with the Coralscale - people completed some parts of the achievement on one character and others on another.
Did someone who completed all of the races on the same toon not get it?

I’m getting the ‘Bestowed’ mounts as I earn them this past week, but having completed ‘Now THIS is Dragon Racing!’ the day the achievement went live, I still do not have the Black Netherdrake Scales

Manuscript for onyx scales still busted as of 4/8. Not in inventory and not at rostrum as an option.

Scales Watch 2024 - Day 23 - still broken. 17 days since acknowledging the problem. Please let us know if its going to take another reset or even 10.2.7 to fix this.
