Not sure if any of the WoW Blizzard decor makers grew up in the 80s/90s, but these were huge for the outdoorsy types. Considering we have fish weapons, I think the next logical step is giving the fisherman some fish to hang on their wall.

Lots of fishing achievements could have decor items as rewards. I’d love to have Old Crafty, Old Ironjaw, and Mr. Pinchy mounted on a wall.
I’d go for it, especially if it turns it’s head and starts singing when you get close it it.
All kidding aside, we need A LOT more mounted animals for hunters to share in their homes.

Just make them rare catches from fishing (BoE of course). Mounted fish A drops from this zone, fish B from that one, fish C from that zone, etc.
Mounted fish and for cripe’s sake give them to fishers to craft. Throw them a bone. A fishbone.
I made that joke about the singing fish awhile back, but I think it went over like a lead balloon.

It will happen. If we are thinking of it then the designers have too. It is on some list and will be part of some patch, ideally a Fishing Patch. But I’d bet that it really comes to us piece by piece.
Don’t they already exist in some of the Dwarven Inns? If I am remembering correctly then the model should already be in the game files. If I am not remembering correctly - It has been that sort of day.
Seriously, in fishing, if you catch a whopper, it says you can use as off- hand. 2 of my bank toons walk around with my whoppers in their off-hand. If its this easy….why cant we just pop it on a wall.? No one in AH or the bank complain that it smells either!! Come on Blizz!
