MOUNT DROPS-butchered opportunity? plz blizz do this

Yeah there’s nothing like it when that loot window pops up and there it is.

Simple, they should buff the drop rate during Timewalking events when the raid is “hard”. If the mount was, say, 5 or 10% personal loot drop rate during Timewalking, that might not be too bad. Personal loot gets rid of the bazillion “Invincible reserved” groups. And you can only run the raid once during TW anyway (per toon).

5-10% maybe too much, but they could buff it, providing yet more encouragement to join a TW raid.

One shot content is a crummy drop for a reason.

You know what happened to me this morning?

Drops are still good.

Nice  That’s two good ones.

Back to back raids, this will literally never happen to me again!

Eh i disagree to a point. How does a better drop chance impact you as a serious mount collector.

Nuking sha isnt skill, who cares if i have it. How does a random low chance give something prestige? Its an arbitrary barrier outside player control.

Ppl like me that arent srs are not going to go after tlp or other achievement mounts so you can still srs business it and have those to distinguish yourself. i wouldnt say having better luck Or buying gold with wow tokens for bmah are being serious about something. Id even argue buying with gold is cheating as it doesnt come from the original content.

having to run it with alts is the worst part about it.

I rather run it once per account at 5% drop rate, than 20 times at 1% drop each.

But… alas… those Monthly Active Users…!

I got the Thundering Cobalt Cloud Serpent, Astral Cloud Serpent, Spawn of Horridon, Clutch of Ji-Kun, and Rivendare’s Deathcharger in the same week. After that (and I had just gotten Honor Level 500), I was like, now what should I do? I played classic for 6 months.

The thing about content like this is you have to look at it from a Blizzard perspective.

They design things on expansion to expansion basis, if it isn’t tied to that expansions endgame, it probably isn’t happening.

Ha, I’ve been feeling empty since this morning. Like, what do I do now, I’d already moved 12 other characters to Dalaran in Northrend so I could pop back and forth on my lockout.

I did go out and try the MoP world boss mounts but no luck so far :frowning:

Sha’s mount is one of the rarest mounts in the game. You up the drop percentage and it’s not one of the rarest drops. I don’t understand how you can’t see that.

Mounts are their own mini game.

When the BfA pre-patch started I turned warmode on and camped the thundering onyx spawn for most of the day. Eventually got it to drop with no competition because everyone was doing the pre-patch stuff and no one was doing warmode. Felt good to get the thing finally. Hoping to get cobalt and heavenly onyx someday

I do runs for more than just mounts to not get disappointed if the mount doesn’t drop. Ya know there’s transmog, pets, and gold you can get regardless of how big or small the amount you can get per run. Heck some items are worth a lot on the AH. Oh yes Achievements are a good thing too there is mounts tied to getting certain achievements in some of the raids. /shrugs/ So there is those mounts you can work toward if you don’t have them yet either.

so really I don’t see why they should change anything. It’s working perfectly fine like it has and should stay as. /shrugs/

If the drop rate was increased from 1:2000 to 1:1000 it would still be one of the rarest mounts in the game. Actually, I think 1:1000 is a reasonable drop rate for an incredibly rare mount.

There are only 5 mounts with that drop rate out of the 600+ available in the game. It’s fine.

Just let us turn off to in legacy content. Waiting for Arthas and Karl every week stinks

I’m counting 6. 4 Pandaria world boss mounts, the Love Rocket, and that alpaca that drops off the world boss in Vol’dun.

I can’t imagine the rage people who camped Sha thousands of times (I have only 800 kills now, sitting in front of it as I type this) would have if the system suddenly changed. Yikes!

Yep.

ROFL no. That mount is so common.

Not really rage. The issue is that when you get a mount like that, you don’t feel excitement at achieving a goal. What you feel is “The long nightmare is over, and now I can get on with my life.”

I don’t think it’s good for the game that they push that feeling onto people.
