Very curious what would be the most fun spec in wrath that has a more modern feel.
im not a fan of how slow classic plays, but wrath definitely makes specs feel a lot better.
Im looking for specs that have that more modern feel to them rotation wise.
Im not looing to hear like druid because you can root someone, cast a heal when needed, flip to bear form. Im looing just strictly at dps rotation.
enhancement is the fastest class i think. the energy users are sometimes deprived but they had a recent fix for that cat. the casters are more unchanging. as expansions have past. i think the energy users are about the same. dk’s i am uncertain how retail gameplay is like but dk were nerfed several times in the original lk.
But the performance of enhancement is fairly bad right now,
mostly due to the boss fight having to be moble and fire nova about 20% of enhancement dps stationary. that might have been why in the precata patch of old they move fire nova to the flame shock dot and lava lash to spread flame shock dot. although the ap conversion from agi is a bit painful from t9 to t 10. where the total ap is about the same. but our crit % is better, and if stacking crit one can get to crit cap on melee attack.

Prot paladin is certainly one of the quicker rotation. Had a decent amount of fun with survival hunter (with trapweaving, bit less now). Enhancement is certainly a big fast puzzle, even a bit too much for me.

I think I know what you’re talking about. Pretty sure you want high APM class/spec.
Honestly, it’s really just Rets and Enha. And maybe really geared out Fmage, as its proc based kinda like retail is…
For healers, it’d be Resto druids or Disc priest.
For tanks, I’d say prot warr for dungeons specifically.
Hunters are meh cuz of steady shot filler and you can’t move during Steady nor do your AA’s go off.
Ret pal is not fun. Ret pal in tbc with seal twisting was fun. Wrath ret is brain dead boring.
whats not fun about it? slow rotation? a lot of just auto attacking? like what?
There’s no nuance. You just hit whatever skill comes off cooldown next.
Don’t think you will find any rotation fun when you’re coming from retail. Wrath is made for 30+ year olds that have reaction time of 30s and a 100kb/s connection.
That said, enhancement shaman is probably the one spec you would consider “fast paced”

Fury warrior is fast once you get great gear and the t10 4 piece. Feels great with full raid buffs. But good luck ever finding a raid
Ret paladin, then choose your favorite DK spec. Everyth6elsenis “meh.”
