With all the good pets costing upwards of 300+ charms, could we suggest more as rewards from wq? Possibly a weekly event, just like ones for heroics and tw? Thoughts?
I support it. I find it tedious to farm for charms so stopped collecting the charm pets, but if the reward rate was raised through something like a weekly event, I would do that to save up.
Agree!
Current pets need at least 30k charms, Ignoring some very remote places, a character can earn approximately 60 charms per day through WQ.
The only solution is to establish at least 10 covenant mission table. It can give you 300 charms effortless every day.
It takes time to build up a large amount of pet CharmsâŚI do it with having many many alts that run only the pet charm dailiesâŚright now you have Dragon Isles âŚShadowlands and BfA to do pet battles to get charmsâŚmission boards in SL and BfA still come up and reward Pet Charms tooâŚthe more alts you push though pet dailies the faster you get the charmsâŚwhen I came into Dragon Islands I walked in with over 66,000+ pet charmsâŚbut again I have been working for years now building up my collectionâŚ
Iâve never understood why the pet battle week reward is 1 measly purple stone⌠like thanks but I think most of us would be more happy with a 500 or even 1000 charms reward. Collecting them is tedious and they keep slapping stupid amounts on pets (bauble worm was a joke)
Honestly that would make the pet battle week so much better. The measly one level 25 stone (which requires PVP battles, and not as easy to win as WQs), and some bonus XP, is laughable. If every pet battle WQ, or trainer gave rewards/bonus XP⌠either way something needs to be done with that event.
Right now I have a nice surplus of charms, ready to the next wave of vendor pets.
But to get to that I have at most 7 toons with all the world quests zones unlocked. Some days yield more charms than others, but after a week or so of farming, youâll have a nice supply.
I also have 5 toons currently running Shadowlands missions. Its a self sustaining system. Anima missions net more then enough for the charm missions. Itâs a slow trickle of charms though, but its quick and easy.
We need a total of 25k pet charms to buy all vendor pets. This is too much for new pet battle players, so i think they should give new players some initial reward, just like they give us 100 Garrison resources after we bulit up over Garrison immediately.
For example, reward 1k pet charms after we finish each family achievements, it is disposable and account bind, can help new players involve pet battle better.
For a new player who can live without the Amethyst Baubleworm, Scout and Miloh, that 25k drops to 7500. Still a bunch of charms but whole lot more doable, and theyâre not missing much in the way of super abilities.
You can get polished charms from BFA and Shadowlands mission tables. If you stock up on some BFA war resources and SL anima, you can send out missions through the mobile app and get a couple hundred a week with just 2-3 minutes per day + ~2 hours for a monthâs worth of missions resources.
If you have a bunch of alts, then youâll soon have too many to know what to do with.
Which is actually worth only 35 charms based on current NPC purchase price, so youâre actually asking for a extraordinary inflation of reward value.
I donât mind the purple stone as a reward. Itâs a nice bonus to pop one insta to 25. For me, Iâd prefer the pvp as the weekly go and be replaced by something else. The pvp is fine if it were reasonably doable, but the waits are insane and you only (if you actually get a battle) get the same couple of people.
I do think if Bliz started giving out a lot more charms as rewards, we would no longer be able to farm them as easily on alts. I make a nice bonus collecting tables and doing WQ on alts when Iâm bored. Some things just take time.
Why should new pet enthusiasts get handed past charm pets? Theyâre almost all sold on the AH and almost none (Iâd actually wager literally none) are required to beat any trainer in the game.
Should new players get handed ashes of alâar as well? Hell, give âem all the AOTC raid mounts too. Why stop there? Just give everyone every mount and pet that exists for free.
I think itâs less of âhand new collectors past charm petsâ and more of âhow to make pet collecting not as intimidating or discouraging so that players donât get immediately turned off by the task/activity ahead of themâ.
Personally, I have no strong opinions on PPC rewards atm. But looking at it from a newer player perspective, Iâd probably side in favor of more (and varied) ways to obtain charms and bigger charm rewards. I would still need to go through the motions of doing the thing to get the thing, but if there are multiple options and various ways, it may not feel as monotonous or daunting.
I think the âproblemâ with that is, pet charms arenât just used for getting a bunch of rare and useful pets, they are used for all the stones you will inevitably need/want, so itâs really like, until your collection is 3 of every pet at level 25, pet charms will always be valuable on a personal collecting/battling (not gold/selling) basis. Unless one doesnât care for things such as duplicate pets, differing breeds, etc, in their collection.
I think the pet charms are fine I just think they need to up the chances/rate at which they appear. Some days itâs like, thereâs 1 or 2 pet trainers in the whole of WoW that are even worth doing/rewarding pet charms and a decent/good number of pet charms. That shouldnât really happen.
I was happy today there was a nice quick route in Dragon Isles with Adinakon, Vikshi, and Izal which rewarded like 53 pet charms forâŚ5 minutes? Half of which is just flying to the destinations. Thatâs pretty good! We need to have more days like that. I think being able to earn 100 pet charms per day should be the norm, not like something which seems to rarely happens.
Another good day for charms. 51 from Dragon Isles (63 if you want to include Tremblor up in Forbidden Reach). 70 from Shadowlands though whole lot of traveling and not exactly âquickâ. Even 17 from BfA.
how many wQ do you need, there are so many.
btw i have come across so many guys hitting the same wq as i move around on my WQâs daily, Petâs, battles and collections are really going strong. lot of players doing them.
Being an altoholic. I did the WQ in DF yesterday @ 19 charms each and collected over 200 in just over 2 hours between HH runs. If i would have added SL and BFA WQ to the list, i could have done over 1k. I love farming.
The command table gives them also. I just use the anima for the pet charms nothing else. That might help you out a bit.
