More loot per boss = End of GDKP whine

its pretty straight forward and distinguishes between games that are and are not pay to win.

So I can throw gold at Nef to kill him?

Loot is fine
 just pray to RNGesus

Totally agree.

It really sucks doing MC 10 times for 1 piece of gear
and the people who got gear early on quit / left the guild

So now LCs only loot up themselves and their best friends because they know they wont be the ones leaving.

this is why they are giving away r14. loot means easy kill

I have no idea what you mean

I am absolutely baffled they did not add more loot drop to old phases as new raids come out.

We’re already on a sped up timeline, meaning less raids, less loot.

Another sign that Anniversary is an afterthought subscription farm.

That is an actual legitimate point. Cutting the timeline in half, yet making no changes to the loot drops is
certainly a choice. Seems a lazy one.

Agree with this except you forgot pvp. AB and WSG should give SoD style exp rewards.

They will never stop

Included in the “people who don’t like it” category is Blizzard, and it’s their game.

I don’t necessarily disagree
it’s kind of weird that they didn’t but used the accelerated schedule. To be completely honest, their goals with this anniversary server are extremely unclear and they don’t seem inclined to demystify things any time soon.

With that said though, more loot isn’t going to make a difference to the GDKP crowd. The core issue here is entitlement. The mentality that “I deserve the loot, not you.”, “My time is more valuable than yours.”, and “I deserve compensation for my time.” are pillars of why GDKP has become so prominent. Players have lost perspective and no longer see WoW as a community game, one you play to create and maintain friendships while killing some bosses and slowly upgrading your character. Most players now see themselves at the top of the WoW pyramid and everybody else is just holding them back from being the best, just like their favourite streamer. The game is no longer a journey, it’s a race, and even though almost none of them will ever place in the top 100 there is no room for chill.

So more loot won’t change GDKP. What drives GDKP is par$e mentality, needing to be the best and needing to get there now, isn’t tied to the drop rate. Unless they’re going to let you walk up to a vendor and just pick up your BiS items, they could quadruple the amount of items that dropped from raids and people would still want GDKP.

This is accurate. As much as I hate it, personal loot from retail felt necessary. It was brought in to combat a lot of the behaviours we’re seeing in Era these days. I do hate it though
one of my absolute favourite team dynamics with my raid at the time was “Oh hey, I think this would be better for you, do you just want it?”

It would eliminate I would guess 50% of blizzards player base. They ain’t doing that.

Would also eliminate gdkps

Usually I would disagree to changes like this, but I think they did it really well in WOTLK. Where the OLD raid content dropped more gear. MC should drop more gear, while BWL is still dropping the same amount.

As someone running a LC, it is tough. I HATE LC, but that’s what my guilds running and I’m part of the people deciding where it goes
It’s tough to give it to people that just started in the guild. Or to the people that only make 50% of the raids, but when you cut those people out it literally is just the same 10 people getting loot.

Why?

This is why I would never want to be on a LC. My thoughts would immediately turn to, “Who can I count on to be here the most consistently and thus get the most mileage out of X item?”

I agree.

2 pieces of loot for a 40 man is
nm dont wanna get banned again.

I wouldn’t want to be on one because I would never get loot because I would feel guilty voting for myself
