Would be cool to see some glyphs that allow us to cosmetically keep the ice element. We have nothing but frost shock now for all 3 specs, ele and enhance lost their ice/frost abilities this expansion. Frost shock is also barely ever taken so we pretty much have no ice element at all.
Ideas/requests (all of these glyphs would just change visual appearances to Ice themes):
- Glyph to turn Lava Lash into Ice Lash
- Glyph to turn Voltaic Blaze into Icy Blaze
- Glyph to turn Earth Elemental into Ice Elemental
- Glyph to turn Earth Shock into Icy Shock
- Glyph to turn Earth Shield into Icy Shield
And for other general glyphs:
- Glyph to turn Lightning Bolt red
- Glyph to turn Lightning bolt white/gray for a wind appearance
- Glyph to turn Chain Lightning red
- Glyph to turn Chain Lightning white/gray for a wind appearance
- Glyphs to make Ghost wolf an elemental wolf form (Fire/Lightning/Wind/Ice)

I will keep saying it, please for the love of god let me glyph my flame shock and lava blast into watery/storm versions so I can fully fulfill my Tidesage/Hydromancer needs.
Yeah exactly. Glyphs should be used to provide more of the elemental fantasy to Shamans without having to bloat gameplay a lot in order to include all of the elements.
There’s so much they could do with glyphs here and the recent interview gives me a lot of faith regarding this. They finally talked about adding glyphs and updating glyphs with their own system or adding them to the transmog system, updating animations, etc in the future. We used to get really bad answers whenever glyphs were brought up, looks like Housing made them finally realize that the level of customization glyphs bring is too much to ignore.
What can we even expect… I was kinda shocked when (after just picking the class) I saw that Evokers have ZERO glyphs. Not even a tab on the Auction House, and the class is been around for 2 expansions now.
However, based on a interview from this week, they DO remember that glyphs exist, but it made me believe that they want to integrate them in another cosmetic system like transmog. Which is wonderful if they do.
However… they also mentioned that is a long-term project 
and not something coming soon. So, our best bets to see this is TLT, I guess.
They looked like they were moving away from glyphs and towards more customization in the barbershop. Druids and warlocks got that.
But then they added more glyphs for shaman and rogues too. So who knows.
All I know is I want the glyph of Ascendance back as an option and ghost wolf really needs customization options for all races.
What do you mean Glyph of Ascendance? We have 3 Asc glyphs currently, 2 new ones and 1 that lets you use the old form.
And yeah they definitely were not super interested in glyphs or at least were very careful with adding glyphs, Ions response to it back in DF (i think df?) was they didnt want to add too many because it could disrupt PvPers since they look at visuals to determine what enemy players are doing. But that just isn’t the case, PvPers havent really been doing that for at least 10 or more years now.
I think they finally realized how important it is to add more customization via glyphs. Its possible Housing and its popularity is what opened their eyes to it since its only after housing they’ve said they want to full send customization and glyphs in the future.

I mean the Glyph of Ascendance they added in WoD and then removed in Legion, the one that made you translucent and swirly instead of an ugly twilight form.
Yeah with the barbershop options that Druids and Locks have. Shaman really need some love.
I think it’d be cool too if you could unlock other racial totems as well, maybe by maxing a shaman of that race or tie them to the heritage armor achievement for that race.
Ah okay, yeah that would be a cool option to have for people. I guess its more relevant for druids since they spend 100% of the time in those forms whereas for us its like 15s or so every 2 mins. But yeah that would still be something they should add
