More free heroic raiding gear...at the start of a raid tier?

I’m not raging, merely showing my displeasure at one side having to play half as much to get the same rewards. It’s discouraging. Why should I even bother playing the game if people are going to get the same outcome for half the work?

It’s affecting half the player base, to claim it doesn’t is just being delusional. This is a 2 faction game.

Look at the post below you. Now read that and tell me why you think I want to spend my time learning normal raids, gearing up enough to get into heroic runs and spend weeks on weeks playing to get the same thing as someone who doesn’t even do a single raid?

Like come on, if you don’t get it I don’t know what to tell you. :rofl:

And please show me the numbers of how it’s affecting this 50%.

I don’t do the WM quest. None of the people I know across five guilds on three servers do it either.

I know two guilds Horde side who could care less about these pieces. They’re just having fun in the new raid.

You’re assuming. And you’re more than simply displeased. I’m just saying, take a step back from the situation and try to relax and have some fun. A bunch of pixels isn’t worth this. :blue_heart:

I tried. I can’t enjoy a game where the time I spend in it is worth half as much as time other players spend in it.

I’m pretty casual, I don’t often get into heroic raids or even do mythic +'s so it takes me a while to gear.

I don’t want to play a game where half the player base is getting the same gear I’m struggling to get, for free. That’s just not fun to me, I’m truly sorry you don’t understand that and can think you can convince me otherwise. :man_shrugging:

Level alts or do something else you might like. Raiding and M+'s are just wastes of time at this point.

That was actually part of the fun in vanilla, tbc and wotlk. You see that one raider dancing on a mailbox in SW or Org, you inspect them and think to yourself “someday that’ll be me”. It gives you something to work towards. Now I look at a raider with a 380+ weapon and say “Oh that’s cute” goes and do 4 emissary quests and gets the exact same quality item

Except it’s not. You’re obsessing over one piece of gear. Your time is determined by you and you alone. Not what pixels someone else got.

And if you’re unhappy, that’s okay. You’re allowed to be. But if you’re unsubbed, you need to move forward and find something else for a while. Let the bitterness go. Have some fun!

  1. It’s not half the playerbase.
  2. It’s not free. It didn’t get dropped in the mail when people logged in. No, it shouldn’t be heroic level. But it’s still not “free.”

Mmm if only there wasn’t multiple scenarios and instances where the same thing happened for the other side of the coin. Congratulations on discovering why a two faction game doesn’t work at all anymore when they’re pitted against one another.

Good point. I usually level alts, but considering it’s easier for the alliance to level alts I’ve decided It’s not worth the time investment.

Collecting mounts & rep grinding older things is fun, but not fun enough to pay a sub to continue doing. :man_shrugging:

Yeah, honestly I loved BC so much because of the continual raid system. Yeah it sucked that very few people go to experience the last of the raids, but working your way through the raids was so much more satisfying than anything these days.

2 pieces this week, actually and another piece every week after.
Also you’re right, It’s not free. You have to know how to use group finder and be accepted into one of the many groups and actually go to where they are and afk while they farm kills. :smirk:

Yeah and it was wrong then, too. The game should never allow half of the game to have an unfair advantage, all it does is piss people off and make people stop playing. But I guess if that’s the way they want things… :man_shrugging:

Except it’s not. The time spent fighting and corpse running isn’t making it that much faster. I easily leveled from 50-61 without WM while a couple of friends struggled to get two thirds of those levels in the same amount of time while they were in WM.

Sure, it will depend on zone and how lucky you get, but if you have to zone hop or fight or corpse run, you’re wasting time.

But… I can’t convince you. I just hope you can let go and move forward. Good luck out there.

It is. It’s actually 30% easier and in the time you levled from 50-61 without WM someone with it on would be 71 or higher.

If you’re honestly suggesting that anyone is in any old world zone aside from BFA old zones and is actively corpse camping you I have no choice but to straight up call you liar.

There aren’t even people ganking in the most common of ganking zones or even people there for that matter (Hellfire peninsual, hillsbrad, STV, etc.)

So I went and dug a little deeper, looks like you’ve managed to get g’huun heroic down once, and a few kills on some of the bosses. What makes me laugh though is you’re determining that half the player base is getting gear for free. Some of those people could actually be working harder then you at trying to gear up.

Anyways given what you’ve just stated, I can’t believe you’re this upset at people getting gear, by your own admission you don’t raid or do mythic +'s that much. It’s just a game.

I don’t think you understand how much impact this has at the start of a raid tier.

1 heroic raid pcs for every raid member is roughly equivalent to a whole heroic raid clear.
(25 players killing 9 bosses is about 27 total drops)

This means going into mythic progression next week, one faction will have an entire week worth of heroic raid progression ahead, not counting the coin rolls. This is absolutely significant in the progression race. Especially since Mythic+ rewards for the first week is capped at 385.

This however, is probably true. sigh

The horde are complaining about complementary gear when they’re getting OP Zandalari racials. you have absolutely no voice to complain.

Considering you could get heroic raiding gear for doing world quests, why would anyone bother doing heroic raids? Like honestly do you even have to ask why anyone would do heroic g’huun for anything other than a one time achievment?

Think about that long and hard hours of wiping, gold repairs, listening to morons over voip, dealing with bad players to have a CHANCE of getting ONE piece of loot or spend 15 minutes and get a guaranteed piece of heroic raiding gear.

It is just a game. A game a lot of people have put a lot of time and effort into. I don’t understand how you don’t see a problem with half the player base getting free gear. I mean if that doesn’t bother you, then what would? Half the player base getting free mounts?

Un-arguably one of the main purposes of WoW is to make your character stronger. Why should I spend a week trying to get gear half the player base can get in 15 minutes? I mean really, Is it that hard to comprehend…?

Zandalari aren’t even in the game yet and are likely to be nerfed and already stated to be subject to change, quit fear mongering and deal with actual imbalances in the game. Like dark iron dwarves being able to shut down entire class specs based off of a racial.

Or the fact that void elf racials blow nightborn racials out of the water.

Shouldn’t have been allowed either. The game should be fair for both factions. Regardless, if you want to open a thread about that issue feel free to leave mine and go do that. :roll_eyes:
