More Dracthyr Restrictions

Only the Dracthyr were in stasis and stirred awake with the arrival of the Dragonflights

It’s easy for warriors, rogues, and hunters.

They were created to be Neltharion’s perfect soldiers. It could be as simple as saying that they trained in a variety of combat styles to allow versatility on the battlefield, to help with logistics, and to promote information gathering (all of which is very important in war) before going to sleep for 10000 years.

This explanation doesn’t work for more recent additions, such as paladins or death knights, as they didn’t exist at the time. It also doesn’t work for a few others but it definitely covers the basic martial classes.

Lore is flexible and arbitrary is my point. They could definitely make the class examples I made work if they wanted to.

I’ll give you an easy answer just like in question like who would win a fight between Goku and Superman. It’s what ever the author wants it to be! That’s it they could literally decide on what ever they want it to be.

Where are you getting this information from? The only thing I have seen is the statues and they were all destroyed except for one.

Exactly. This is a non-issue

Dracthyr Lore Experience

You find out that you’ve been asleep for a very long time, and so the directed experience is one of discovery and finding out what happened to you and befell your leader, Neltharion aka Deathwing. Many of the other Dragons didn’t know about you, Alexstraza didn’t even know about you.

So just like every other hero class when released. Restriction will be lifted at the end of the expansion. Just like every other hero class.

Seriously, can people not remember past expansions? Or is it just trendy to freak out over nothing?

Honestly, at this point everything about the Drakthyr and Evokers have been pretty disappointing…so this is just another log on the fire.

I guess you could call it freaking out over nothing. But I view it as another silly restriction on a core design feature that has already been ruined.

We have a race/class that is a huge let down.

A flying system that no one wanted and that they have already had to walk back.

I’m just waiting until the horrible details to come out about the new talent trees…it is inevitable.

Thats what Blizzard said

Impressive. I didn’t think they could make them any more restrictive.

In this section I’d add they only have one body type (with “slight” variations) and can’t use mogging for most item slots, only some options in the barber shop.

Why do you need more than 1 per server?

Yep, that combo of starting at a high level and the “overpowered for two following expansions” rule make hero classes bot magnets.

Hero class has always been restricted. LOL

The problem isn’t really the one per server…it’s that if you want to make one of a different server you will have to level another toon to 50 first…or pay for a boost…or pay for a character transfer

For me it’s not that I need to but for me it means that I’m not tanking on the race for probably 3 years.

Why is that a problem?

Because if someone actually wants to play an evoker on a second server…they probably don’t want to level a toon so they can make a toon to level

I guess you could argue that it encourages spending real money, which both players and Blizzard love.

I’m just stuck playing it because Dracthyr are basically my dream race, and Blizz made it so they can only be one class. To be fair, that class is also right in my wheelhouse, so I am not too unhappy. I love casters and healers.

This isn’t any different than how Death Knights and Demon Hunters started out. Only one per server and you needed a high level character to unlock them.
