Most people aren’t capable of being truly decent and people will take offense at something or another. It’s how it works. There’s simply too much implications of something happening that companies may decide to split the work force which would probably be best for everyone.
OR, you know, people could behave like decent human beings.

As long as they itemize the list of changes and publish it that way it can be scrutinized by the player-base for the ridiculousness of it I’m pretty much okay with changes to superficial stuff.
If they were then we’d not have toxic environments at Blizzard. Think about it, more than one person had to know, somebody had to say something and yet nothing was done, so that means people covered up or didn’t care.
So in essence if most people were decent this issue wouldn’t have happened more than once or twice and would have been taken care of. So how is it me projecting that a large amount of people are incapable of being decent human beings? What world do you live in?
Why are you raging at me? I didn’t blame women or anyone. I pointed out that there will always be people who take offense or give offense so companies may just decide that segregation is best. No amount of training or videos will change a person. It is what it is.

There are literally trillions of female/male interactions going on daily that manage to be non-toxic respectful and professional. It’s obviously troubling to hear about instances like these… but mostly because they ARE outside the norm.

That is exactly what you’re doing. You’re claiming businesses will just throw their hands up and segregate men and women because someone will take offense. That is exactly what you said.
And as for behaving decently, yes people really CAN and DO on a daily basis. Those that don’t should be shown the door. That’s it.
I never said that they should, I said that they might based on what they perceive as the best course of action. What part of that is hard to understand? Companies make overreaching choices all the time in order to avoid liability and to combat work related issues. I never said I support the action.
Companies have done these sorts of actions before with zero tolerance and not caring about the context as it’s easier to simply eliminate the problem. I don’t get why this is such an issue for you that companies may decide that the best way to protect their employees is to ensure that they have little to no opportunity to offend each other or create circumstances where problems arise.
I’m not saying it’s the right thing to do, I’m saying it’s simply a possibility.
Most people only try to behave decently because they have to, which is why showing people the door or trying to change behavior doesn’t work. You cannot change a person at their core. I never said people shouldn’t be fired for bad behavior, just that companies -may- reach a point where they take drastic measures.
Oh sure I can see this happening. One space for black men, one for black women, one space for Hispanic men and one for Hispanic women and then a space for white men and one for white women. Just totally segregate everyone so there’s no chance for anyone to get offended.
The part where you’re suggesting companies en masse are going to start doing something literally no american company does currently. Its asinine, and it likely wouldn’t even be legal
